MSuperLooper: use expression pedal for Next

I'm trying to use my MIDI expression pedal for Next (or other toggle controls) in MSuperLooper.

So far the best results I can get is this: I push the pedal full down and back up to get Next (which stays lit) and then push it again full down and back up to turn off the Next light.

To get this behavior I use:
* Range mode: Up and down (other modes get similar results)
* Value=Off
* Depth=100%
* Toggle

Unfortunately, this is only "usually." Sometimes I get nothing; sometimes it goes to the next AND turns the Next button dark.

I've tried adding Trigger but that causes unpredictable results.

I don't have this issue with on/off pedals. I had this issue with my sustain pedal until I turned half-pedaling off on my keyboard (which I hate to do but at least it works.)

FYI, I'm using this to play guitar while sitting at my keyboard, using my keyboard's pedals. I have three: sustain, sostenudo, and expression.

Is there a trick to get a continuous controller to act like a switch? (I can do this with 3 Piz MidiControl3 plugins per continuous pedal, but I was hoping MSL could do this itself. It'd be nice to use controls like mod wheel for example -- which is one of the built-in main controllers but doesn't work when actually using a mod wheel.)

Sorry, I'm not clear about exactly what kind of behavior you want. I don't understand yet why one would want the next button to stay lit (toggle behavior). Normally it is a momentary type of control like from a sustain pedal behavior. But anyhow, setting the Toggle option on does give me proper toggle action. Tested with cc1. The other controllers in the list below are not relevant to this example, except that I disabled Main 1 which is default set to cc1.

I don't want it to stay lit! That's simply the best I could do so far.

But heck: duplicating what you have above works perfectly. Now, I know I tried that a number of times (after all it was the default for mod wheel on Main 1 or something) and it failed (for example, it would trigger multiple times or not at all.) So evidently something else was going on. I did recently detect an issue in my host that caused MIDI messages to get duplicated and I've worked around that, so perhaps that was the issue.

Thanks again! I really appreciate your help.
