he's always been religious.
musically though, it will be just the one albums worth, a concept if you will

The album concept (Time Travelers) is about various points in time. Unfortunately, a lot of history had to do with religious events. But there are plenty of songs on this CD that have nothing to do with religion.
Here are the remaining songs:
Death Of Charlemagne
Westminster Abbey
Tower Of London
Genghis Kahn
The Ottoman Empire
The Trial Of Joan Of Arc
War Of The Roses
Which brings us up to around 1500 something. If I do a Time Travelers III, I'll pick up from that point in time.

ah, i did not realise it was time travel
i did see the lyrics of a few and assumed "religious concept" which i personally see no issue with.
there's a huge difference between celebrating something that is close to your heart and trying to get others to see your view.

war of the roses, that's me n donks

War Of The Roses is of the Broadway Musical flavor. I felt it was a perfect ending song.vurt wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 8:12 pm ah, i did not realise it was time travel

I'm going back to only commenting on music by people I know or if they ask me to comment. I don't need this crap this year.

Musically I liked Vesuvius the best.
Reminded me of something from the late 1970s. There were a few bars here and there that reminded me of ELO - is Jeff Lynne one of your favourites?
I feel like I've been in a musical history lesson...
Maybe if school was like this I'd have learned more!
Its pretty impressive the volume of work you manage to output. It takes me days to write lyrics, it seems to take you a tenth of that time.

So yes, Jeff Lynne has been a huge influence on me since the early 70s. Recently, I did a cover of "Can't Get It Out Of My Head." Not sure if you heard it or not. If not, here it is.

6th track from my upcoming CD "Time Travelers II"
Lyrics:
Death Of Charlemagne
72 years he lived
King of the Franks
King of the Lombards
Emperor of The Romans
He was the greatest of them all
Father of Europe
He ruled with an iron fist
He was feared by all
But still he died
Oh yes he died
And many cried
The day he died
Instrumental Break
But still he died
Oh yes he died
And many cried
The day he died

7th track from my upcoming CD "Time Travelers II"
Lyrics:
Westminster Abbey
King Edward began almost one thousand years ago
Building this fine church he did
Completed and consecrated back in 1060
And with that she lands on the grid
Oh what a beautiful sight
Oh as we gather in the night
Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey
Don't look too shabby
Built with such care
Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey
Just pay your cabby
When you get there
The Abbey became the coronation
Site of the Norman Kings
But none there were buried until Henry the Eighth
Have you ever heard crazier things
Oh how we love it there
Better than anywhere
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Pre Chorus 2
Repeat Chorus
Outro
