Cool... finally! I saw no mention of it anywhere. That is a significant feature separate from MPE and should be mentioned.PieBerger wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:27 pmCorrect.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:05 pmDoes Live 11 record Poly AT now? and use it from Push?SLiC wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:55 pm Ableton seem all in on MPE now.....PUSH currently has polyAT which is part way to MPE, maybe they will design a new controller focused more on expression and playability (Linnstrument style).

Okay, that seems to indicate that it is using MPE (Channel AT on multiple channels), not PolyAT which uses a single midi channel.SLiC wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:54 pmhttps://cdm.link/2020/11/live-11-also-t ... struments/pdxindy wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:05 pmDoes Live 11 record Poly AT now? and use it from Push?SLiC wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:55 pm Ableton seem all in on MPE now.....PUSH currently has polyAT which is part way to MPE, maybe they will design a new controller focused more on expression and playability (Linnstrument style).

So it is still not clear if Live 11 can record actual PolyAT midi messages (which Live has never been able to do)

I have a Hydrasynth and don't like using it in MPE mode because I do a lot of stuff with discrete MIDI channels and the ribbon and PolyAT features don't need full MPE mode to function, so I believe I am running in this 'PolyAT mode' and I can record Poly aftertouch pressure output from the Hydrasynth to a MIDI track and play it back and hear it.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:00 pm So it is still not clear if Live 11 can record actual PolyAT midi messages (which Live has never been able to do)
Basic test is find a patch on the synth that handles polyAT like "Sawpressive GD", hold a chord and then manually arpeggiate by alternating the finger pressure used. It records that and plays that back so is this what you mean or is there something else I'd need to look for?
It produces this...

They're not planning to do anything with this wasted space, do they?

Probably not because everything needs to fit in when the note view is smaller and the space isn’t there.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:32 pmThey're not planning to do anything with this wasted space, do they?

The note expression tab looks really lonely tho, maybe they’re planning add something there

Something in D Dorian
In case you were serious and don't know how to use emojis, it's just "Dark".

Yes, I know but someone in beta was suggesting that it dynamically moves to single column if there's space available.Dalle wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:38 pmProbably not because everything needs to fit in when the note view is smaller and the space isn’t there.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:32 pmThey're not planning to do anything with this wasted space, do they?

Since Live 10 added multi-clip editing I usually edit MIDI with piano roll dragged all the way up and then all this empty space looks silly. At least some things can be collapsed vertically.

Neither am I it's just I assume from a blowing a raspberry emoji that you were taking the piss as more exotic themes get discussed on here a lot.
All good. No idea what the difference is, maybe "Dark" is slightly different for Mac and Window users or it's some v11 thing.

fyi, there is a workaround for relative macroing in AL, absolute goes to the left which can be tweaked with the right ones

https://maxforlive.com/library/device/3196/knobmath
created quickly a MIDI version from it

Yeah, but I doubt that will happen. Having tabs not be at the top wouldn’t make sense, and the jumping would be ugly and confusing to many. It would just be a weird mismatch of UI elements. I agree there’s some wasted space, but it was improved a little in the latest beta, and like you said, you can collapse one panel and hide the help view if you really need the space.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:02 pmYes, I know but someone in beta was suggesting that it dynamically moves to single column if there's space available.Dalle wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:38 pmProbably not because everything needs to fit in when the note view is smaller and the space isn’t there.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:32 pmThey're not planning to do anything with this wasted space, do they?

I really dislike the amount of room the new MIDI features take up in the piano roll. They should all collapse.
