Wishlist: progress indicator when opening

When I open a project, it can easily take several minutes what with spinning up previously idle disks, loading samples, etc. Currently, Waveform shows me a single static screen with spinning beach ball cursor the entire time. I can't tell visually whether it's still loading or has, in fact, gotten frozen somewhere, and if frozen, where it might have gotten frozen.

Other DAWs give me a progress indicator. If it does freeze, I can tell, and I have a pretty good idea where it got stuck. 5 minutes without any indication is too long.

In the top right corner, next to the performance indicator, there is another semi-circle indicator, which shows "the progress of any background tasks". It also means, it shows the loading status...
