You may have already seen the news item on this NAMM's TEC Awards.
Am I the only one to feel they are hugely backward-looking? I mean, Blackhole on mobile devices, Waves Abbey Road Saturator as best effect, and Melodyne as best software instrument? And then basically AKG and Universal Audio for the reaminder of the categories?

I'm usually an over-polite person, but... WTF? It feels like I've gone to sleep and woken up in 2005. Did the have the Rolling Stones jury on the awards team?
Honestly, I'd be a bit embarrassed to even accept the award if I were these companies. Not that there is anything wrong with their products - not at all - but for a tech award pointing to the future??? Can't we have a (sane) KVR rep on the TEC Award team, to turn that shit - sorry, I meant "ship"
