My next project after "Time Travelers II" was "Restoration". This is a group of songs that were written in the mid 80s. The songs themselves were decent but my recording and mixing skills were non existent. In short, these songs sounded awful. So I decided to redo them. I'm glad I did because the last one on this CD, along with one other song, is going to appear on an upcoming album by this group I am now writing for. With luck, these will be my first song royalties ever.

Anyway, this is the first track of the project. I tried to recreate the arrangement as close to the original as I could, including matching the synth sounds, which was not easy to do. Hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed doing it.

** ADDED NOTE ** You will notice throughout a good number of these songs that unlike the music I write today, I was a big fan of the repeating chorus to end songs

More simplistic melodies than usual, liked Reach for the Sky best. Nice into with the piano and pads.

Imagine if you had a youtube hit song or something and that was the title of the album and then you had the whole kvr poll story of how you had this kvr poll and some member fedexnman told you to name your album that etc etc etc . The melodies are simpler because the songs were written about 35 years ago. All I've done is made better recordings but tried to be as faithful to the originals as possible.

I was just thinking. You say lyrics are a bottleneck for you. So what if I came up with some lyrics for you to use. I can either write them to music you've already written or I can send you some and you can do what you like with them. It's no problem. I can write lyrics in my sleep.
