I can see each side of the argument. I guess if you are used to my Ableton workflow of browser preview drag and done then it makes splice look ridiculous.
I have just downloaded adsr sample manager. So let's see how I handle that.
I'm going to save up credits and just get mr bills pack. If you haven't heard it the sound design in there is too notch.
Splice has ruined my workflow

Fine, but a lot of sample packs are garbage. You won't know that until you pay for the whole samplepack.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:36 pmThis subject has been done to death a million times over, and the conclusion is that certain things work better for some, while the same things does not work at all for others.Auplant wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:25 pm hmm I like it... why would I want to buy individual sample packs when I only like 4 different samples in a pack? with splice I can preview sounds and just take what I need. You can choose where the samples get saved to.... I don't see what the big problem is, what is a few clicks? In the daw you'll be clicking around 1000 times anyway
Some people like Coca Cola - some people think it tastes like battery acid.
I was thinking the same a long time ago, that I only liked liked a part of the samples in a pack. But now much later I've recognized I was too quick with my judgement, and samples that I might not have liked initially - were spot on in an another job.

At least with splice we can preview...and hear the truth behind the marketing.
