Free soundset Hybrids for Zebra

Hi all,

Hybrids soundset was released in 2011 but removed from sale shortly after because i was informed that Zebra 3 was on its way and presets from Zebra 2 were not directly compatible with Zebra 3. So i waited and after awhile (1 year) i moved onto other stuff. 1 more year passed and i started offering the soundset for free to those who asked about the soundset.

So if you feel like diggin into a soundset made 10 years ago then look no further, its free so go get it.

The idea behind Hybrids was to turn Zebra into a typical 80's - 90's workstation which it pretty obvious from the following youtube videos: (all sounds are Zebra incl. drums)

Maybe someone else got another suggestion for importing old presets into Zebra.[/i]

You could have done a preset database refresh directly in the plugin.
Right-click on any folder in the directory tree on the preset browser page, and choose "refresh".

Or you could have dragged the whole preset folder directly onto the preset browser's directory tree in the plugin GUI, then it should have showed up instantly.

Thanks a thousand times for that free stuff. But please do more commercial products. Would buy blindly, immediately in a heartbeat. Like I purchased ZebraSkools.

Hybrids is my all time favorite Zebra sound set. Exactly my taste and useful for my projects.

You have outstanding instrument re-creation skills paired with musicality.

I'm very impressed how accurate you emulate acoustic piano with synthesis (no samples) as an example.

I downloaded and installed your Hybrids presets in my actual Zebra 2.8.
Technically, no problems at all.
Musically... a really wonderful pleasure !!... out of time... and still really "efficient", inspiring and beautiful in 2021 !

When i browsed all the presets today i also noted that these 3 presets did as you described. I'll take a closer look tomorrow. I'm surprised that these 3 are the only problematic after all this time

Same here. At first I thought my new midi controller is broken... But it isn't

I think i know whats going on, look at the presets, all 3 use GATE and not ENV1. On the old JUNO's you only had 1 envelope and to make certain sounds you had to set it to GATE. This was done when you only wanted the filter to react to the single envelope. Over the years there might have been a change in how GATE works in Zebra.

Setting all 3 presets to play arpeggio instead of poly should stop future browsing from producing hanging notes if you save them or you could just delete them.
