AAS Objeq Delay is "free" at PluginBoutique at the moment, and I like the concept very much.
I think that could be a nice addition to the Melda universe and would fit really well in the MSpectralDelay.
If I understand it correctly, this could be achieved by putting the ModalFilter from MSF into the feedback path. That way, you could even create your own instruments by analyzing samples.
Here's a video:
What do you think?

I requested this a while ago, it flew under the radar. But it would be interesting to see the modal filter in MSF as a stand alone melda effect. I would assume it would work somewhat like how tritik moodal does.

* free as in "buy something first and get a free thing in addition"; so basically not really free.
Sorry for OT; just wanted to make this clear.

I actually asked for this as a request a while ago and Vojtech seemed open to the idea, but of course he has so many other things going on, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. There are quite a few FX and instruments he could make by just making modules from MSF into stand alones, but I think he wants to "finish" MSF first.

some additions, like a granular generator (or even a spectral?), or some spectral FX generators. but they are now my preferences, to MSF would be great. already using MSF, owning it from launch time, but waited till it was more "finished", now i am learning it, it is a great ecosystem, patch from scratch (and the MPE implementation is great by the way..).Chandlerhimself wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 12:19 pm I actually asked for this as a request a while ago and Vojtech seemed open to the idea, but of course he has so many other things going on, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. what is not mentioned on the website, and i don't know who get's it, MTurboFilter is a plugin, for example. (i have MCompleteBundle, so..).

I don't really want more plugins. There are so many already. I just thought it would be a nice addition to MSpectralDelay.Chandlerhimself wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 12:19 pm I actually asked for this as a request a while ago and Vojtech seemed open to the idea, but of course he has so many other things going on, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. But it makes sense to focus on MSF first, and there are so many things you could add. Like controlling the resonance of each harmonic in the modal filter by analyzing a sample .
And individual decay times for the additive module. That seems to be the most common criticism of MSF when it comes to additive synthesis.
And a granular synthesizer is also a popular idea.
So many ideas and so little time
