Is it possible to route the sends you audio tracks or the audio input device, so I can send FX to other sends and even back to itself? The answer at Bitwig Q&A seems to suggest it’s a simple matter of selecting the appropriate out put from the send FX track but I’m not seeing audio tracks as an option, nor are the fx tracks available for the audio routing device.

No. Feedback routing isn't permitted.

Bitwig has Feedback FX slots in their Delay devices which allow you to insert an effect of your choice into the feedback chain, so yes it explicitly allow this scenario as far as I can tell.
edit: that said, I would be surprised if you could get exactly the sound of this unit - even though I haven't heard it yet.

My mistake, this post was meant for an Effects discussion, not for true feedback like is being discussed here.

You can put an effect track into a group track. Then you can route it to the world outside the group. I by default, the FX track will be routed to the group track.
But you cannot route it back into itself, as others already mentioned.
