Bit of a gamble though, isn't it? I mean, it could break with every update they release, and, you will have paid a lot of money for non-functional software. I could understand why they lock the installer. They probably have a lot of support requests for non-supported OS's, just because people don't read the system requirements. IIRC, it was the same with Cubase, they locked the installer of Cubase 5 for not supported OS versions, and yet people found ways to install it anyway, and run it on OS's which are not sure to be capable of running it.
