it's still on offer £15.95 crossgrade from any paid D16 product at plugin boutique.

What's the bitcrusher like? i didn't bite because, er i have NI Bite.
Decimort is a DAC emulator - not just a BC. Demo it, you'll see quickly.

I use RX950 complementary and recommend both.
ok i will, thanks.

BTW the crossgrade deal at PB is on till 28th Feb if anybody is interested.

I'm genuinely interested to know which filter you found good in the Cubase stock plugins? I've been using Cubase since SX3, and I have never noticed a decent filter plugin included.

Using the EQ is the best option I've found to get a resonant LPF or HPF, but if you automate it very quickly, it introduces some artifacts which make it unpleasant.

I have been using The Drop and Runciter in recent years, generally The Drop is my go to despite the higher CPU usage than normal. The free Soundspot FAT filter is a great simple and clean filter which I've also used on projects without issue.

Dual / Morph Filter, ToneBooster. Non-destructive helpers from my creative toolbox.

For what do you use the filters? Filter sweeps / filter house? Then I'd recommend not to expect too much from the ITB filter itself. I feel that the input signal is crucial for the output - and ITB is no Sherman filter bank or Korg Kaoss Pad.

Try the drop , the input signal and filter drive behave just like it's hardware counterparts ( depending on filter type )
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

I suppose that you can´t prove that, don´t you? I just listened to the demo yet and thought "Hmm". And to be honest: I don´t believe no hype. I have read enough about modelling (e. g. Giancarlo´s statements on gearsluts) and know enough about measuring and modelling in general to know that dev´s themselves just can´t deliver.

I´ll better go out of the box and back in if I feel that I really need a Sherman. But for now I´m still digital and well equipped ITB.

Whatever you want to believe dude .
Cytomic is not you average plugin maker , no need to argue any further

MorphFIlter would be great if not limit of 50Hz-6kHz. I have no idea why they did it but because of that, this filter is unusable for me. I don't get the reasoning behind it. It's not like it's some kind of technical limitation. If not that, it would be a really nice filter.

RP XY Transfer

It´s somehow too versatile for me, but sounds good, is very very flexible and even has a USP: XY Pads.
Looks amazing but what is the filter quality like? I find that to be one of the weaker aspects of their otherwise usually excellent synths.
Fiters all sound different and I don't want to make too general statements about their sound anymore. XY Transfers also hast too many types.

I had good results here and never missed anything. XY is great for movement, offers 3 blocks and sounds somehow 90s electro for me.

But to be honest - the GUI ... I assume that RP wants to make us think about the way WE judge - and GUIs are as treacherous as a womans exterior :|
ok I had another look - like the fact that it also includes granular and delay effects

just started using "fat" filter plugin by soundspot, simple but effective. I generally want a no frills filter for automation and this pretty much covers me for that. in terms of advanced filtering and looping tal filter is pretty good.

Unfortunately its price is only competetive if you buy a bundle 😉

They seem to have different sound targets at Steinberg... more natural/accoustic ones maybe. And - even if an FX looks simple and known - I again and again realize that it all depends in the use case and the way you use it ( Halion is the center of my universe).

But to be honest I didn't spend much time with it yet. And if I reach for a filter I usually want to go below 6k...

another good free one I discovered recently was audiothing filterjam. it's more like an audio effect than anything, can be fun for breakdowns, transition builds https://www.audiothing.net/effects/filterjam/

I use Cytomic The Drop and Reaktor Blocks, not as good as the Steiner Parker or Ladder filters in my MatrixBrute but in my opinion they’re the best analogue modelled filters currently itb.

The soundtoys one isn't bad, but I did basically get it free in a large discount bundle a few years back.

Does Godfazor have the same filter as Decimort? It looks more versatile to me as it has dual filters and many more types but only if it has the actual same filter as one of them.
