The current multiparameter limit for MXXX is 128 and the limit for MSF is 256. Can we get an increase for both MXXX and MSF? I have hit the limit multiple times. I would love to see an increase.

Just in case you did not know: you can use MXXX inside of MXXX or MSF and also MSF inside of MSF and MXXX. This way you can basically re-arrange MPs in another way or build (like in coding) your own submodules (like methods or functions in programming) and use them the way you need.

Yeap, but this doesn't help in my case.

Yes, this happens very fast. The background is that the devices should be simple. But if I create a series of 128 harmonics and then add the phase, they are all gone.

What example of usecase do you have, where some "workaround" with "submodules" would not work?

In what realworld situation would you want to have access to 128 harmonics from an easy screen?

Edit: And please feel not offended; my questions are serious. I am just eager to know. :)

There is a work around for this. Check with Vojtech.

I'm currently creating a fully synthesized and detailed drum machine in msf. Sort of like microtonic. I blew through all 256 multiparameters pretty fast. Pretty much all 256 multiparameters are being displayed on the easy screen. All if not most macro/routing stuff that doesnt need to be displayed is done within sub modules.

Offtopic: Microtonic is the drum synth! Bought it not that long ago. It's incredible! Using it ever since for many things. <3

I am really curisou:

a) Microtonic does not have that much controls. So ... you extended this idea quite a lot, didn't you? :D
b) Could you please post a screenshot. I am curious as hell about THIS GUI, hehe! :D

Yes, i'm aiming for a more flexible version of microtonic since msf is much more capable. Having 6 or so individual drum pages, each page having it's own set of fx and controls will eat up your multiparamater slots. The gui is a utter mess atm.

Well to be fair: this sounds rather like 6 instruments at once. Not sure what the benefit could be in such a case to have multiple (I guess 100% identical?) instances in one at once. :? I would rather make one element and load up MSF multiple times according to my needs.

Not exactly, i should have clarified that each instruments are pretty unique. The parameters in the kick page would differ from the snare page since both use different types of synthesis and methods of creation. Maybe microtonic isnt the greatest example to compare it to. Each page is a crafted uniquely to the designated purcussion. Not exactly copy and paste but they do share similar parameters

Ah okay, I understand. Thanks for clarifying. :)

I totally second this!

Regardless of how many "modules" there are only 128 externally (easy screen) available MPs. If you try to replicate anything complicated, you'll hit that really fast. I think Vojtech limits it to 128/256 of because of a limit / restriction of the MIDI protocol.

That said, having an option (checkbox in MPs settings) to make certain MPs automatable / modulatable by the DAW and making MPs unlimited, would be awesome!

Hopefully they can increase it in the future, maybe with MIDI 2.0, there will be more possibilities.

It's not really related to MIDI. Basically every module / feature requires some memory and CPU, even if it is not used. So I needed to make a choice. I actually hit 128 just once :D, in a very very complex thing. So it seems like a good choice. But of course, for some this may not be enough. Now there's another problem - backwards compatibility, that's such a complex thing, that 99% developers actually don't add any new features... I do, and I have a system to keep things "working", but this particular expansion is actually problematic.
