FWIW, I think this belongs in the Phrase Inspector (whether instead-of or in additon to), but the big deal is that it can be done. Yes!!

P.S. I note that this information cannot be currently found in the manual either by searching on "split phrase", or even by searching on "split" alone. So, that would be some good info to add.

Hi,

I'm observing that the Preview Phrase button using the current track instrument is destructive of a phrase just generated by the lightning bolt.

I've attached a short movie file which illustrates.

This is in RC 4.1 x64 for Windows, built Feb 7 2021.

Hi,

Observe that the 2nd chord in the progression has a roman numeral representation, unlike the rest.

I entered the Chord Selector via the Pencil

Was doing various things before that, quite possibly incl. the lightning bolt and Ctrl-Z.
I probably didn't observe the change immediately.

The above unf. is not a step-by-step reproducible report, just a "this can happen" report. I know the former is better than the latter, but sometimes the latter is what's available.

If I future circumstances favor capturing the thing step-by-step I will.

The required data files should be in Documents/RapidComposerV4/DB. A re-installation should restore these files. Usually you never have to uninstall RapidComposer, updates can be installed over the previous version.

Yes, I am fixing bugs from time to time. Today I fixed at least 4 bugs.
A bug-fix update (v4.1.1) is in preparation.

This should not (but can) happen because chords may have 2 representations internally: either scale relative (roman numerals) or concrete notes. Even if RC should display one of them, in theory it can happen that both types of chords are in one progression.
Somehow you managed to mix these two on the master track. Not a deadly bug, but if you figure out how you did that, it could be fixed...

Hello Ahmadx1x1,

it still works, what's more, you can directly drop files and folders on the progression browser.
You can still drop a MIDI file with chords on the master track.
Please explain your question so that I can reproduce the issue.

And then After...

Does not matter what midi I use/generator..
