I absolutely love it. It's super-intuitive to use. The feel is amazing, and the fact that you don't have to map it, you just fire away at anything that's on screen is refreshing. It's the first DAW type controller i actually use constantly, and I actually miss it when I work without it because i have a muscle memory to reach for it.
Also, the resolution is better than anything midi :)

Not looking good for a December 2020 release.

We're waiting for all developers to be present to do the big merge, which may happen by mid January.
Is a public beta access for customers planned ?
I would love to test a beta of the M1 versions.
Personally I run an MacMini M1 with 16 GB of RAM.

My Mini is being delivered in the next couple of days, so if you want a brand new 16Gb unsoiled system to test Diva and Repro (only have licenses for these) on let me know.

Hopefully not too much. If all goes well, our internal workflow will always build for Apple Silicon by the mid of this week. If that doesn't bring all of our workflow to a halt, we'll have a new beta of Hive 2.1 really soon thereafter, including native support for M1 Macs. (public next week earliest)

This is good news. I'm really thinking about the new little MacBookAir for Reason and Live.
All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

I'm hoping the 16" M1x MBP isn't too far off now. That will be my first Mac. Also hoping that by then Pace figures out how to get iLok working on the ARM Macs. But I digress...

My current Windows laptop is just awful for audio work so it's essentially an inconvenient web browsing device while my desktop does the production. The thought of being able to run U-he plugins with decent instance counts on a laptop is just mouth watering.

The timing should work out pretty well because most active developers will likely have updated versions out by then, save for maybe the slower titans of the industry like Steinberg or Avid although I suspect they'll have something out by the end of 2021. I needed a new laptop sooner than later, so I got one last month and the performance has been fine, but it's the total lack of fan noise coupled with enormous battery life that has altered my perception of laptops forever. Thankfully all of my 70+ iLok plugins have been working fine under Rosetta, either on key, machine authorization or cloud, but I can definitely understand the desire to have all plugins native before diving in. It's going to be an interesting year for computers.

My 2019 15" MBP is an excellent machine... except the fan comes on so easily. Just the DAW basically idling, makes the fan come on.

I want an Apple Silicon 16" MBP and I hope this rumored M1X is also quiet like the M1 reports I am hearing.

Sure. But still, we can not even compile any AAX plug-in for Big Sur/M1 support since Avid/Pace have not supplied us with compatible libraries and processes. It's stunning that this kind of thing is still widely accepted. I'd love to send Mr. Cronce the bill for us having to roll out Hive in a two-stage release because of his %§#!(.
