Hi all,
I have v11.1 pro and Download Manager asks me to download 11.5 free.
If I download it, will I loose the pro features I now have, like the DAW Essentials Collection and Collective?
Will it affect my current install?
Does it install in a different folder?
Can I use the Tracktion plugins I currently have with the pro version in 11.5 free?
So many questions.
TIA for your help.

It's the same installer for Free, OEM & Pro. The features that are enabled are based on the license in your account. We should rename it in Download Manager so it's more clear that it's same installer for all.

So, if I understand correctly, installing 11.5 free, as named in the Download Manager, is basically the same as an update for my v11.1 pro install to 11.5 pro ?FigBug wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 5:48 pm It's the same installer for Free, OEM & Pro. It won't install in a totally different folder, just updating the executable in my current install folder?

With Waveform 11.5 on Ubuntu I noticed when showing the quick actions context menu it flashes in a random location before showing in the expected location. Here is a video demonstrating the problem.

I think it will install into a new folder.TTC1 wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 11:11 pmSo, if I understand correctly, installing 11.5 free, as named in the Download Manager, is basically the same as an update for my v11.1 pro install to 11.5 pro ?FigBug wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 5:48 pm It's the same installer for Free, OEM & Pro. I finally did the upgrade and it did install in the same folder.don_ortalion wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 9:33 pm I think it will install into a new folder.

So all is well.
Though the way it is named, it is not obvious that it will update an existing install, in Download Manager.

11.5.2 is up
- UI: Added in/out marker to MIDI editor
- UI: Fixed crash in select all for MIDI notes
- Plugins: Fixed upside down UIs for Waves plugins
I never had a problem with Waves, but I'm sure a lot of people will be happy about this one. Was that a Mac issue only?

Goodmorning everyone,
2 tips for new versions of Waveform ...
1) Make the Multisampler faster ... If I load the "Grand Piano" preset and make some changes I have to wait a few seconds before the plugin closes. Is it a preset or multisampler problem?
2) Add the random bassline and chords creation function.
Thank you Traktion team for all your tireless work ...

2) Gave you give more details on how'd you want this to function? Improvements to pattern generator is something I want to do, but I'd like to hear what people what it to do.

Installed 11.5.2 update and window maximization bug, introduced in 11.5, is still there
Am I the only person on MacOS Mojave who suffering from it?
PS. I found that if set DAW: Settings -> L&F -> Display Scale to 200%, then make window maximized and then back to 150%... After that, switching tabs will not reduce the window size. But after restarting DAW I have to do it again...

Hi, thanks for your reply... I would like that when I open the Chord generator and the Bassline generator I had the possibility to use the "random" function that generates and saves different rhythms from those already present (123/23/ths etc...). This randomization could be done completely by Waveform or follow preset rules (for example: all notes are in scale/all notes are out of scale; notes must have the same length/notes must have different lengths/there can only be notes from 1 or from 1/4 or from 1,2,1/4d together etc; the generated notes are on 1/2/3/4 octaves).
If you could also add more scales (like oriental and blues) that would be great.
There are many plugins that do these things (Remidi, Kirnu Cream, Sundog, Liquid music etc...) but having them already in Waveform would be very convenient and would make the workflow even more simple, intuitive and very creative.
Sorry... I hope I have explained it well... Unfortunately I don't speak English correctly

I know what can make this DAW more popular
First - add 2 plugins:
— 1. Drummica (Sennheiser) - for drums
— 2. Kyezone Classic - for piano
They all free VST plugins.
Second - mаке samething like Drummer in Garageband / Logic Pro.
... and add some Amps and Cubs for guitar... and some simple ready to use processor for voice.
And it's become ultimate DAW for songwriters!
