All sorts of flutes. Samples or models. Both hardware and software.

Found this page concerning software: https://howtomakeelectronicmusic.com/best-flute-vst/

Your help will be appreciated :)

Synth: Zebra.
Rompler/Synth: M1, Triton, Wavestation.

And I actually play real flutes as well.

For once I can't recommend any freeware. Synth flutes rarely sound like flutes and the sound quality of freeware romplers isn't usually that good.´and neither are freeware physically modeled flutes. I do have a rather nice freeware bamboo flute called Mini Dizi but other than that, I usually use general midi.
Sad about tomorrow
Sorry, but it's not my fault

Got the Korg M1 and Wavestation Vsti's and like their flutes. Probably will buy Triton when it's price is affordable.

The video demo sounds good. I am not eager to pay that amount of money for a single piece of software. However, I still do not regret buying Omnisphere 8)

Audio modeling or the orange tree samples passion flute ( if you have Kontakt). They are both great. The vsl flutes are still pretty nice too but require more setup to be playable.

If you're serious about ROMpler flutes being valid, check out VSCO, Aspen, Sonatina, and Iowa...all at VST4FREE, I believe. Very good quality.

Xpand!2 is a cheap rompler with thousands of sounds. The synthesizer sounds are excellent and the ethnic, woodwinds, etc. are good. Not top quality multisampled stuff, but good enough.

Dexed has many good sounding flutes in the DX-7 arsenal.

Nil's K1 has some good flute patches, and it's free.

Phase Plant has a flute preset ("Fluteophone") that I really like, but it is still recognizably a synth, if you really listen. I modified it for this track: https://open.spotify.com/embed/album/1a ... AQSTzqYTG1
(15 seconds in).
