That's the point, what you have just said ignores macro control variations completely. MCV at first appears to be a tidy solution for loads of automation tracks, but having played about with them, they are not that at all. While we're talking about preset systems, which is what MCV is, the basic Ableton preset system is just bloody awful too, hotswap button select preset, double click. For the next preset, down arrow, or move mouse, click to select, click again to load preset. And so on. Why not something a lot slicker? I mean it really couldn't be worse? Still a load of clunky old code in there, they have to disentangle, I think. Apart from that, still a totally brilliant DAWDJ Warmonger wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 2:12 pmRecord whatever settings you want, then add linear (or nonlinear) automation between the points.leeleema wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 1:58 pm Macro Control Variation i.e. presets for macro chains. I'm very surprised this isn't automatable. In pre-release it was described as useful for easily applying different effect settings to different parts of a track over time e.g. have a more chorused/eq'd/reverbed guitar sound in the chorus compared to the verse, just by selecting a different macro variation. But you have to do this manually? Eh?
Have to admit though, you need to click the automation for every parameter separately.

Was mentioned much earlier in this thread as a solution to automating and fading between snapshots. Definitely should have been built in as it seems such an obvious way to use snapshots.

yeah although that linear approach sucks - something along the lines of a Kore or Alchemy morphgrid would be better (or even better a circular morph field)zoidkirb wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:26 pm https://maxforlive.com/library/device/6 ... -automator

That’s a bit better but needs morphable snapshots

Any chance you're working with NI tools? There are some new NI fixes out (Massive new build today) and others on the way to provide a remedy.
Almost everything else 3rd party is stable (in my experience).

And... every now and then my Push 2 restarts I thought that was ironed out during closed beta but still happens... am I the only one?

Reaktor synths are not playing nice! Cpu spikes especially when changing presets. It also eats the cpu quickly! The same happens with Cubase 11.
The only stable DAW with all my synths and instruments is Reaper! Sometimes I want to sell all DAWs (except Reaper) and buy instead a good bunch of effects to use with Reaper!

Razor
Edit:
Anyway, it works great with everything else, even Prism (which should be cpu hungrier than Razor). So, only when I change the presets, which I can live with that to be honest.
Overall, great performance and much better in everything than version 10. Also there is no crash till now! So, I think it works well with my setup (Ryzen 1600x and nVidia 1060)
