 Yeah, it is mono, and you are right, it sounds pretty horrible. In TAL Juno, it's not only stereo, but it also sounds great and usable. Not sure if TAL just went with their own interpretation of what it should be...

have you tried the low CPU mode in the plugin options menu? I find it's really useful for getting a track together and then you can render in high CPU mode to get the best quality.

I had the Digital Dream bank loaded in from a while ago which worked for me. I just tried the others from that site and they all seem to work except for the singular patch he has on there.

Are any of the D-05 patches in any of the banks with RC D-50? I wasn't sure, but I saw this one here:

Yesss thank you, it was in another thread altogether :) So, this _is_ the correct hw behaviour (chorus 1+2 being mono and sounding like a broken tremolo). I guess TAL Uno has slowly become the reference in my mind and replaced my memory of the hardware. This is one place where I wish Roland would have diverged from the original, I mean, who wants to use it like it currently is...?

Actually no, never really needed it. But thanks for the reminder, good to know it's there if necessary! :)

Simple answer is, I don't know.

Thanks for the link. I'd like to download and try that out later.

Yes, that awful I+II sound is the correct behavior.

Much prefer the TAL Chorus approach, but if it's a strict emulation, that would've been incorrect so I don't begrudge Roland or Arturia for doing it the "right" way.

It's good for a laugh anyway.

Holy f**king shit - that first patch 001: Millennium... it contains multitudes. I've been playing that one patch for 20 minutes.

Honestly, this JD-800 expansion is a belter. Some of this sounds massive.
I think this is the first thing I've heard in Zenology in the last year or so it's been out that has impressed me. It's opened my eyes to the scope of the thing and the possibilities.

One thing that makes a big difference is when you hit the edit page you get a full Zenology Pro screen with two big groups of multi FX available and a heap of editable layers. Shows up the other expansions they've done so far and hopefully will spur them on to revisit them and fill them out a bit.

NOW we're getting somewhere :hyper:

While I'm still holding out for a JD-990+Vintage Synth "Legendary" plugin since there's tons of fun there, I'm not gonna turn my nose up at this. I've been waiting for some kind of JD plugin for almost ten years now. For all my complaining about RC, I'm immensely grateful that some form of this digital masterpiece finally exists on home computers.
