Uhm... Im a bit upset. End to end is off in noticeable latency, even with frozen tracks. Im on winxp, a64 3000+, 512mb ram, echo mia. When i have 1 track, end to end has fine latency. I really really hope this is fixed in the future.

it's still not making any sense.. what does end-to-end have to do with latency? and what does freezing have to do with anything either? still confused..

okay im recording line-in. When you record line-in audio (NOT MIDI) with end-to-end, it has very almost un -noticeable latency sound so you can hear the input, if you add plugins you can hear those. However, after a few tracks of stuff, the latency goes almost .25 secs it seems after i do it. I foudn this out because I was going to add some clapping. It was WAY off, so I said - hey im going to just freeze all the tracks with fx. I froze them all, and tried to record again, and STILL a noticeable latency was sustained. So I figured something was wrong, I restarted my computer and opened a new project, and suprise! no latency! I load the project I was working on again, and LATENCY!

What kind of soundcard do you have? Some cards have some "issues" in their ASIO drivers that can cause that sort of thing to happen.
I've had 12 tracks of audio recorded in without any issues. Hopefully we can get you going soon!

The number of tracks has absolutely nothing to do with latency. I don't know what you're doing, but it's definitely not related to track count.
The only things that can affect end-to-end latency are your soundcard settings or using plugins that have an internal delay. There's nothing else in tracktion that could ever add that much latency..

Okay with emailings and such, the issue is solved! We discovered that the latency increase was due to a master rack filter that I had put in a TLS_Maximizer in for limiting purposes. So here this post rests in peace now as a way to show everyone what to do if in this situation!
