I love a good arp patch.

Actually how about an arp with an LFO on top?

Or...better still... two panned arpeggiators with two LFOs acting on each? Oh yeah! :D

The LFOs can really add a nice swing to the basic arp sound, which in the example below sounds almost as if the arp patch has been effected by a side-chain compressor:

Amazing Himalaya. My wallet is ready for a kick ass J-8 sound set.

I don't understand where's the problem. It is perfectly usable as it is. Just stick at the current version, if you simply don't want to risk on updating. As has been said, the updates have been mainly optimizations and bug fixes (bugs that I, personally, never experienced anyway).
If it's done, the only updates will be to keep up with OS updates. Its not there yet.
Dude STFU already. I don't have a single virtual instrument that only gets updates because of the OS. They all have bugs. Getting tired of this shit and people trying to derail threads with this nonsense. It continues and I'm reporting to the mods. Enough is enough.

Bloke moaning about the standard of discourse at kvr keeps telling others to STFU. Would be like me moaning that I only have to read Dashys posts when people insist on quoting him...

Best advice was up thread, update when you need to rather than when companies offer it. No idea whether my plugs are up to date, I only check a couple of times a year TBH.

Patrick, please keep on your current path. Stellar dev IMO.

Oh, and nice sounds from Himalaya!

Not too hard to achieve, just add some EQ to get more low end.

What are the advantages of TAL-J-8 over TAL-MOD?

Well, that depends on what you're doing. If you're familiar with the original Jupiter-8 hardware (or music made with it) and you want to recreate its sound, TAL-J-8 is obviously the way to go. If you don't know why you would want that, or if you're trying to design sounds that could not be played on a Jupiter-8, go with TAL-Mod.
I hate signatures too.

Oh... I guess it would be MOD for me then. I guess the Jupiter's UI just looked a little more simple to me.

Sure, a simpler UI can be an advantage, too. But there are TAL synths with much simpler UIs than J-8. Heck, just try them all. Play the demos.

I agree, just install all the TAL demos and then try to resist pulling the trigger when you realize there's a bundle discount if you buy multiple TAL products simultaneously...

Hope this doesn't start a flame war...

Version 1.3.8
VST2 UI position problem when hide / show keyboard fixed.
Plugin does not send MIDI output fixed (useful for recording the arpeggiator output).

Also, I didn't even know the plugin was supposed to output MIDI!
