Temporary files

I am using Tracktion Waveform on a MacBook and have recently noticed that the amount of free space on the hard disk his reduced dramatically. After a bit of poking around in the Library folder, I found that the Caches folder contained a folder of Tracktion temporary files that amounted to over 250gigabytes. Is this normal behaviour for Tracktion and, as these are temporary files, would it be safe to delete them?
