I wonder how that one compares to Pulsar’s Echorec.

I like Pulsar's better; seems richer and fuller to me. Whether it's a more accurate emulation, I have no idea.

I think Magneto II in Cubase sounds amazing and is pretty versatile. People argue if it sounds like tape or not. For me it's just a nice way to color tracks and so cpu efficient.

How are other Saturation options in Cubase? Maybe I’m wrong but it seems like the Magneto 2 is only recent one whereas other two seem to be older or not updated for many years. I’m very curious about a vintage tape magic and I heard many good things about the IK Tape Machine Collection. But before I spend nearly $100 I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth it..

For sure as the poster mentioned above this post, you must check out the demos. Find and gather audio demonstrations as well, install your software demos and then start comparing. The other saturation options are OK, they're definitely usable. Magneto II to me though is the special one.
I can't tell you what you'll like more but I can tell you this, the IK tapes will give you something very different than Magneto. VTM too is in the similar category as the IK ones. Do I use those as well? Yes. I like having as many options as possible, but knowing what each one will bring to the table let's me narrow down what I'll use for what so as not to be overwhelmed by options. You can do great work with any of these! If you want different color, then get them all. If you want to chose one over the other, demo demo demo.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I've never even seen tapes in real life so I was bit lost what to hear from the differences. Still definitely want to experience my self what the analog goodness is about. At least I'm glad Cubase gives you one option to try! I'll demo the IK tapes, much appreciated

IK Tapes are nothing like Magneto 2. Totally different league imo and besides that, the sound is totally different. I'm not sure if Magneto 2 has improved algos over ancient Magneto 1 or it's just a new GUI. Anyway, in a matter of vibe/retro/emulation or saturation, Steinberg plugins are just ok. For music like country, old-school rock, Magneto 2 should be good enough. Any time I tried it on modern music I always ended up with other tape emu (or no tape at all).
