It's the one big gloomy cloud hanging over me, making *that* decision.

My current take is: We stick to 8 in 8 out, but unless you do 7.1 surround or similar, you can choose any of the 8 input channels as your external side chain input. Because, honestly, what good does an additional 8 channel side chain input do when no DAW supports it?

That generally sound good but routing that in logic sounds like a nightmare

We'll test it first, of course.

i just switched up to a new machine. somehow i had forgotten this topic. The Uhbik 2 is really great, the extra modulation really expands the effects frontier. Previously i would have used a Reaktor fx for that flexibilty.

plugin delay compensation

I recently switched to Linux from Mac after 20+ years of music making and I am already very happy (and thankful) to have your awesome plugins at hand in Bitwig on Manjaro. While daydreaming about an Uhbik update for Linux and stumbled across this post and now I am seriously excited. The GUIs look beautiful! Can't wait to play with it!

Is there a possibility in Uhbik-D to work the delays based off of time values rather than notes? The LFO can do it but the only delay setup is for note divisions.

Reason I ask- using Uhbik-D for a multichannel delay in a surround film mix. There's no notes in a film timeline, only frames, so it's a bit of a chore trying to set the delays just by guessing how many quavers can fit into a frame. Dope that it works for surround though, one of the few delays out there that can send pings around the surround field natively.

We still in alpha mode on this guy? I have 9629 installed. Love the the new interfaces!

my dumb feature request: you're one oscillator (with sub) and a white noise source away from turning runciter into basically my ideal modern SH-101 style bass synth here (I already hack this together with a simple gated oscillator in bitwig all the time)

Post

Hugely excited for this update. Uhbik is a wonderful effects set and this update should breathe new life into it.

Coming by here every week at least three times to see if the Linux version is already out for testing. :) I'm really looking forward to this release! <3 But of course I realize that everything takes time. So, no pressure from my side. ;)

We all want to actually make a pressure about Uhbik & Zebra and release waterfall of questions “when zebra?”, “when uhbik”, “soon? please, tell me it will be tomorrow” but, yeah, we won’t do this. Yet.
