I guess it can be ruled out that it is deactivated in the hardware settings?

How are you testing that it (not) works? I guess the Bitwig version simply routes it straight into the DAW, while with my conversion option there is another method called. So, could be that there is a difference somehow.

In case you have NIs Kontakt or a similar plugin with a MIDI monitor, you could check the incoming MIDI on the channel.

Thanks I solved it.

I found the problem, for some reason on the hardware it was just for Aftertouch and not for poly Aftertouch. The strange part is that it worked on the Bitwig team script and on Live 11 demo (although I guess just for one note).

Good idea on the midi monitor, I have used this one.

Ok dumb question, but... Why Java? I've been playing with Arduino and really, really want a Maschine Jam script for Bitwig and was thinking of making my own. I know there's one from einfachfelixverdammt which is in Javascript, but I notice all yours are in Java.

Is there a functional reason for Java instead of JS, Python or something else, or was it just what you know or prefer? Is it the JVM/stability/performance or something else?

On this subject, I was playing with the MIDIMix the other night, and I just happened to have Bitwig and Ableton Live 11 open at the same time. It seems that having Ableton open means that the Mute buttons work perfectly in Bitwig 😉

UPDATE: Sorry that was badly phrased! By "working perfectly" I meant that the LEDs switch on/off when the buttons on the MIDIMix are pressed and the state is reflected in Bitwig. Sadly, when the mute button is pressed in Bitwig, it's not reflected on the MIDIMix. Still, in a live mix situation, I guess one would want it that way round, rather than not at all 😉

In part 9 of my tutorial series I elaborate a bit about it:

Never heard of such an issue. Have you checked that they work at all with a MIDI monitor? Maybe try a different USB cable and/or port.

First of all, big props to you Mr Moss for really awesome controller extensions. I have both Launchpad x and KOmplete Kontrol s61 mk1...I just installed your Komplete Kontrol one and it does awesome things....but there is one problem I am sure you are aware of, and I dont know if there is any setting to change or solution, but need to ask

Get in Mossy/Midi Mode by doing Shift-Instance....everything was working fine in a Kontakt Instrument at that point (keyswitches and lights, etc)...I can then use all the great features you;ve programmed....BUT if I want to go back to Komplete Kontrol mode to change something everything goes back to basically a blank midi mode...cant use KK settings and cant use Moss settings. Have I set something up wrong? any fix?

Wouldnt surprise me if nothing can be done about this, Komplete Kontrol doesnt even do great about changing from one Kontakt Instrument to another (lights get stuck)...It's like it doesnt want to relinquish control or something...anyway things get stuck at that point...any help?

Your guess is right, you can either use the one or the other. More info why it is the case, is in the manual.

Thanks...thought you would like to know that the manual I have (i think it is most current one) doesnt have installation instructions for the s61 mk1 and the instructions for the mk2 did not work for me. I think I have it working right now, but if you can respond with correct settings/setup that would be reassuring.

Thanks for pointing that out. It seems that some text got lost along the way...
I added the installation notes which you can already access here:

Hey there stunning work on these scripts! I'm using the Launchpad mini mk3 and reckon it would be mint to have ratcheting and note nudge in the sequencers. Not sure if its even possible as I'm pretty clueless around coding but something like holding a note and pressing up/down to increase/decrease the amount of repeats for that step then holding and pressing left/right for nudge.

Dream feature for sure but even as is, your script has increased Bitwigs functionality a huge amount

Hi,

I have question about the Drum Sequencer Mode in PUSH 2.

<<About the Drum tone selection>>
I have to hold down SHIFT and press the Drum Pad to select a Drum Sound.
I think I used to be able to select a tone just by pressing the Drum Pad, but I can't find the item I need to set.

<<About the Loop Length>>
When I create a rhythm pattern with a length of 1 bar, if I select the second and subsequent bars of the pattern with the Pad, the pattern length is automatically changed from 1 bar to 2 bars.
Is it possible to fix the length of the pattern to one bar unit?
Even if I select 1 Bar in Fixed Length, it does not behave as expected...

Thaks,

Version Info.

I'm trying to set up OSC on Bitwig Studio 3.3 16 Track. It doesn't have the option to add controller manually. Is this feature only available in the full version of Bitwig Studio?

Selecting a drum (without playing it) is done with Select+Pad.
To auto-select the drum channel set "Drum Sequencer -> Auto-select drum settings" to "Channel".

You can always select the 2nd, 3rd, ... bars in a MIDI clip. A clip is not limited to a certain number of bars. When you create a 1 bar clip it only means that the loop is set to 1 bar. But if you go to the 2nd page it does not mean that it automatically changes the loop range. You can set the loop range in the right-bottom area. Keep the pad with the start page pressed and then press the end page to set the loop.

Is it possible to access unmapped 3rd party device (VST) parameters ("direct parameters") with Novation ZERO SL MK2 script (DrivenByMoss 11.6.1)?

No, all my extensions use remote controls, which in my opinion is the way to go in Bitwig.
