So a particular culprit seems to be SPAN by Voxengo. It's a spectrum analysis plugin that never gave any issue. Now it seems to crash on load, and take a number of plugins with it (not necessarily all of them). If I remove the plugin, save and reload, everything works. If I then re-add the plugin all is fine as well, until I save and reload; then it will again crash.
I'm using the Marvel GEQ from Voxengo as well (no idea if that matters, but no time to do any extensive testing currently) and the LoudMax64.
I'm also making heavy use of the ARIA Player, using both the VCSL and VSCO orchestral soundbanks, so there is a lot being loaded into memory usually when opening a track.
Sorry I can't be more helpful shedding light on this bug right now, but perhaps this info allows reproduction of it.

I was hoping to look in the project file and check if the plugin IDs got corrupted somehow, but that's not the issue, so no need now. Maybe sandbox is crashing? I'd try disabling sandbox and experimental engine and see if that helps.

I had already disabled the experimental engine, but wasn't aware I could also disable sandboxing. Disabling it does indeed let me start up songs using these troublesome plugins without interruptions. Cheers for that! Although I will probably leave sandboxing on and do without the few plugins that cause issue for now.

Note that you can also disable sandboxing for individual plugins.

Hello,
there are many VST3 issues for which Pitchbend and Modulation Wheel don’t work, like Amplesound guitars or iZotope Iris... :(

I have found that the VST3 versions of Voxengo plugins have a tendency to crash the sandbox. And it really seems to be those two things together: VST3 and sandbox. The VST2 version can be sandboxed and the VST3 version runs fine if it's not sandboxed.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

New UI behavior is still killing me. On MacOS Mojave Waveform window just can't stay maximized with L&F Display Scale more than 100%. It's always making empty space at top and bottom of screen. Please, do something with it.

I'm having issues with CPU use while comping.

I can have a totally empty edit, record 4 takes that are 5 seconds long, and while comping my CPU will go nuts, even when the track is not playing. Happens on Mac and PC.

I checked back in T6 and it seems as though I can comp to my hearts content as long as the track isn't playing. Even with it playing it seems to work a lot better than W11.5 (still spikes the CPU sometimes, just not as much).

Anyone else?

W 11.5.2 is so buggy on my Mac that it won't even load a W11 project that was saved last month.
It gets stuck at 75%, then I get the beachball. And then I have to force quit...
Back to T5. The last stable(ish) version for Mac.

Just updated to Waveform 11.5.7. But bug still there. On MacOS Mojave Waveform window is changing it size to smaller (from top and bottom), when L&F Display Scale more than 100%. It's happens in many cases, such as when switching DAW tabs or just clicking anywhere in the window. But, if change Display Scale to 200%, then maximize window, and switch Display Scale to 175%, the window will keep it size till close. Next time i open DAW, i have to repeat these steps again.
Please, fix this bug, i don't think it's very difficult.
PS. It's about maximized window, not fullscreen.

UPD:
It has different behavior with different screen resolution. What wrote above, it's for 2560x1440. With resolution 2048x1152 Waveform keep window size when L&F display scale is 125% and 175%. But when scale is 150%, window always resizing to smaller as i wrote above.
Just my thought, may be there is some algorithm that decrease window size when it's bigger than screen resolution? And this bug located there?

UPD2: Updated to 11.5.9... bug still there. :(

Is there any Changelog file?

All the release notes for each release are available on the Tracktion website in the Download Archive*. individual release notes are usually posted here in the announcement thread started by the devs**.

* It's a bit of a maze to get to it. We should maybe have a sticky with a map and detailed instructions.

** I'm pretty sure there is another 11.5 thread here started by FigBug with the release notes for 11.5. The current version is 11.5.9.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
