Can't Freeze tracks... Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm trying to Freeze some tracks on my mix to free up some CPU cycles. I tried freezing the tracks inside a Submix and it told me "Tracks which output to other tracks can't be frozen themselves, freeze the track to which it outputs too instead."

Ok, makes sense, Then while trying to do the same to the Submix track, I have the same error message. I'm tearing my hair out, as the Submix track isn't outputting anything to any track...

What am I doing wrong? What's so obvious and I can't see it? Or bug?..

I'm running Waveform 11.5 on windows 10.

Submixes break freezing, it's just a quirk they have. I've raised the issue before but I don't think there's an elegant solution.
