MDrummer Custom Sample Paths - someone please explain!

I use MDrummer (in Ableton) on a PC and a Mac and move the files between the two - one for mixing, one for performance.

I use custom 3rd-party Wav samples within MDrummer.

Could someone please explain how I can avoid having to painstakingly reload/reconnect every drum/layer to each sample one-by-one, each time I want to transfer a track from one system to another?

I thought this had been resolved in v14.16, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I must be doing something wrong, I just have no idea what.

Thanks!

There are 2 solutions:
a) Put all your samples into the MDrummer factory folder.
b) Use "Custom" root. Open MDrummer, display sampler, select root as "Custom" and using the pencil button next to it select where your samples are. Then when you use Sampler, always use this Custom root, so that the paths are relative. On the target computers you'll simply need to have the same samples at a location pointed by the custom root again.

Would it be possible to allow for multiple "Custom" roots? A drop down list of sorts. This feature would be a real time saver in my work flow/resource organization.../s~

Sorry, no way, too complicated in the current system.

Worth checking out this thread too – viewtopic.php?f=138&t=550347

Vojtech explained the above in a little more detail. I'm getting the hang of it now!
