I am on Mac. I have been messing around with the global presets and device list in MSF. I would like to do a factory reset of all MSF content. How can I do that?
Also, how can I delete a MSF device at all? Once I factory reset, it won't be an issue. But as of right now I don't see any way to delete individual devices that I've created.
Somewhat related: the export / import feature is nice, but "add" might create duplicates, and "replace" might delete any missing from the import. Is there any way to "merge" - where it only adds presets that are not already in the folder? I think because presets can be represented simply as strings, maybe it's easy to detect if the preset already exists in the folder (or even the entire database?)
MSF: How to reset presets database? (also, how to avoid importing duplicates?)

Well, you can delete all of it manually, it would be a bit tricky thing. You can delete following folder:
/Users/username/Library/Application support/MeldaProduction/MSoundFactoryInstruments
and following file:
/Users/username/Library/Application support/MeldaProduction/MSoundFactorypresets.xml
Then install the newest version and installer will create these.
What exactly are you doing with the import/export?

Great, thanks!
I am trying to synchronize presets across my two computers. I create presets on both computers. So, I want to export my presets folder from one and import it into the other - without it creating duplicates of any presets that it already has.

Well, if you always know what is the newest version, then just export the newest, import to the other one and choose to replace.
