definitely!
the most successful of those synth/singer duos aren't they? although erasure are still going, but haven't had the hits later on, which psb do seem to have ocassionally.
on single they are the quintessential pop act, but their album work goes beyond pop imo, and live is a major production, goes well in to "art" again imo.
that sounds like im saying pop is something"less" this is not my intention, i don't think that.
what i mean is you go to see the spice girls/beyonce/madge, no matter the production on stage, it's all about "them". but with the pet shop boys, there is usually something more, to see, and they provide the music.
again, nothing wrong with either, just pointing out what i see as a difference.
