MSF: Standard way to create filter envelope?

What's the best way to create a basic filter envelope for a synth in MSF? I can see how something could be cobbled like using a filter module, and assigning an envelope to the frequency knob it contains.

I gave that a quick try, and it does appear to work more or less like a typical setup though I'm not entirely sure how the correlation of the frequency knob to MIDI note changes things since a typical knob used in conjunction with a filter envelope generally has fixed frequencies. More importantly, though, I'm wondering if I'm missing some built in way of doing this.

Yeah, that looks like basically what I did. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some more streamlined built in way of doing it and wasn't seeing an envelope filter module or anything like that.

Also out of curiosity: If you're doing a custom shape for the envelope, it is broken into only two sections (attack and release), so.... does that mean that the full AHDS part of the curve should all be baked into the attack portion with just the R in the release portion? Seems like that might be the way to preserve functionality of "percussive" button, but not sure whether doing it that way messes with some other parameter.

Yes, you got it, Att, Dec, Sus all in the first section. In an envelope they all play in succession anyway when pressing a key. The release has to be in a separate section for the release of the key.
