Pitch bend not working in MSoundFactory

Can't get any patches to respond to the pitch wheel. Mod wheel works just fine. This is confusing the crap outta me haha
Tried messing around with the MIDI tab up top but it's all kind of over my head. I was able to ascertain from a "learn" function that soundfactory does indeed recognize it as a pitchwheel. It's an Arturia Keylab 49mkII in case that's pertinent.

Look on the first tab (globals) in the edit screen. There is a pitch section (top right) there you can set the pitch bend range, maybe you have it set to 0?

Maybe you need to enable control from the controller via the DAW. Usually DAWs treat buttons and knobs separately from the MIDI notes on the keyboard. Not sure whether this affects plugins' reception of said info.

Sorry for the confusion, you want me to send you my Ableton 11 project file?MeldaProduction wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 2:59 pm Please send me some testing project with recorded MIDI and MSF instance to info@meldaproduction.com
Or you want, say, a screen recording?

MSF seems to be getting midi input from the pitch wheel itself, as when I click on the MIDI settings and go to main controllers, click "Learn" and move the pitch wheel it recognizes it as the pitch wheel.
So for some reason it doesn't send the pitch wheel information to the pitch bend parameter. And this goes for all instruments/patches so it must be a global setting somewhere. I tried reinstalling MSF just in case something got messed up somehow, but it still doesn't work

For trouble shooting like this, it's probably better to just send an email. Vojtech drops by in this forum only sporadically.
And I think he meant that you send him an Ableton project with MSF and recorded MIDI that should trigger the pitch bend, so he can find the issue.

Another update:
Turns out the pitch bending works on patches that are sequences, but not ones that are single or sustained notes.
This got me wondering.... why?? I thought maybe it has something to do with how Ableton 11 recently implemented MPE. Whether or not I'm on to something there, regardless I loaded up the older version, Ableton 10, and pitch bending works completely fine and normally. So it definitely is an issue with Ableton 11 and MSF communicating. To repeat, pitch bending works fine in other VSTs in Ableton 11. Hope this is useful info.

I'm in contact swith Ableton - they did something very weird there. Seems like Live now recodes all MIDI data and spreads them through MIDI channels for no reason, really odd. A bug imho. Most instruments won't care, since they just take pitchbend on any channel as a single value and bye bye, but that's technically incorrect.
