Two feature requests related to the plugin list

A couple of random feature requests on the plugin list:
  • One thing that annoys me is when I buy a few new plugins and in order to activate them I need to switch to a project view and add the plugins one by one to a track so they run and I can enter the activation info: I'd like to be able to run them directly from the plugin list for that. I understand that wouldn't make a lot of sense for other things, given that the plugin would probably have to be inserted in a fake audio/midi chain to run or something, but it would ease a piece of the workflow that I always found irking.
  • Another thing I generally do whenever I buy new plugins is add them to custom folders in my favorite plugin list: it would be nice if Waveform offered a feature to know which plugins have *not* been added to the favorite plugin list. Now that I have a few of them I'm tempted to double check once in a while that I didn't miss any.

The plugin list already has the ability to open plugins, it's how it handles the thumbnail feature and plugin validation. They just need to make a way to not close the window automatically.

The request in the first bullet point is something I would probably use if it were offered, but it doesn't really bother me that it currently isn't.

The request in the second bullet point would be a VERY welcome addition, and I definitely want to "+1" that one, with the addition that I would also like to filter out any disabled plugins from the list (either in combination with what was requested above or on its own), as I generally have three copies of most plugins installed (AU, VST and VST3) and don't see any value in needing to include all three in the custom menus in order to not see them when reviewing the list.

An option to "group" like-named plugins that are simply in a different format might also be interesting?

Agreed, the grouping feature would be good. At the moment I tend not to install the AU versions and to delete the VST ones from the plugin list, but indeed it's a manual step that calls for better user experience.

I use multiple DAWs, including Cubase which doesn't support AU and Logic which doesn't support VST, so I always install both versions of a plugin when available...
