Wow. Who'd have thought this thread would make 10 pages without being locked.

Permit me to, and forgive me for (re)stating the obvious.
As the ballot is written, I vote none of the above (or would if I could). I will neither invalidate the experience of someone who has had a bad time technically or commercially with any of these companies, nor will I elevate any of my personal or more objective complaints about a particular piece of software into a polemic. All of these companies and their respective products have allowed many people to create music that was important to them if not their audience. And all of them probably have disappointed if not actually harmed customers. But, if any of them were truly awful, we would know them, if at all, for their infamy rather than their success.

(yawn)
So who would have thought that the one program to leave the beloved by KVR members, PC platform, would be the one with the most votes?
Now that's a shocker isn't it?

Voted for emagic because of their corruption (logic for mac) and their indescribable idiotism of releasing EVP88 as a logic plugin only

It's corrupt for Emagic to be bought out by a larger company? It's corrupt for Apple to not want to develop software for the competition? It's corrupt for Apple to use the EVP88 as another reason to use Logic?timewastin wrote:Voted for emagic because of their corruption (logic for mac) and their indescribable idiotism of releasing EVP88 as a logic plugin only
Capitalism is the name of the game . No company survives without thinking about the bottom line. Do you think any VST or DX company would develop a product that potentially took sales from them?
Why would you expect any less from a corporation?
The Logic hating here is tiring and silly, 99% of the people here are PC, it's like Sonar bashing on a mac site to me, what's the point?
