So far every other instrument works.
But 'Evolve Pad' is looking for a bunch of WAV files that don't exist, from 'Essentials'. Like 'perc_9.wav'.
Reinstalled twice, zero joy. Very upsetting. I'm happy with everything that DOES work, though.
Suggestions? Ideas?

You mean you reinstalled your libraries or the plug-in or both?
Any errors when downloading or installing the libraries?

Go to 'Menu'->'Download and install products' and install at least 'MSoundFactoryEssentials' and 'MDrummerEssentials'.
If you want to use the 'Cinematic Braaams' instrument, you'll also need to install 'Studio2008-2018' (which sucks and should not be necessary because it's 20Gb and the instrument uses just a few drum samples, but it's probably not going to change)

Reinstalled both with no errors. Am now finally downloading the Essentials pack after some argumentation with locating the sample path, as the default didn't auto-fill in the directory select dialog - just the MDrummer default (which I don't own). Thanks for the info, I expect that after 4 more cups of coffee, three aspirin, and a handful of Tums things will be fine.

Yeah, my fault. Big sorry. But maybe it should be possible for people without the Studio2018 to load up the device; maybe even load in their own tom samples. I basically just used a tom sample and some djembe-alike sample. I just checked: even without these samples the device should sound cool and usable. I'll ask Vojtech, if I should come up with some alternative version, in which I just replace these samples. I totally feel that it can be ridiculous to download 20 GB for just two used samples, hehe.Held wrote: Mon Apr 12, 2021 9:35 am If you want to use the 'Cinematic Braaams' instrument, you'll also need to install 'Studio2008-2018' (which sucks and should not be necessary because it's 20Gb and the instrument uses just a few drum samples, but it's probably not going to change)

That's not possible for people who bought the LE version.Tagirijus wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 7:05 am Yeah, my fault. Big sorry. But maybe it should be possible for people without the Studio2018 to load up the device; maybe even load in their own tom samples.
Is nothing like that in the MDrummerEssentials pack?Tagirijus wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 7:05 am I basically just used a tom sample and some djembe-alike sample.
Vojtech's position seems to be that instrument creators should be able to use whatever samples they want which is understandable. It should just be communicated more clearly in the installation instructions. And backwards compatibility probably prevents replacing the samples anyway.Tagirijus wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 7:05 am I just checked: even without these samples the device should sound cool and usable. So I'll stop complaining about it now and just enjoy the awesome instruments in MSF. Thanks for your great work

Oopsie, good point ...
To be honest: I did not check yet. But either there, or maybe I could even find something in the MSF essentials.
Well: we do communicate it here and luckily I am in this forum, hehe. I like to get such feedback. Since at least upcoming devices might respect these things.Held wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:29 am Vojtech's position seems to be that instrument creators should be able to use whatever samples they want which is understandable. For this specific device I really think that it should be no problem, technically, to have this "fixed". If I disable the samples, the deivce still sounds great, imo. So I guess with similar samples the sound might even be almost the same. But yeah: not 100%, which might break some kind of backwards compability. So maybe some "alternative samples" version could be a thing. I asked Vojtech. We'll see where this leads us to, hehe.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the device or even the devices. For cinematic stuff some more devices are work in progress.Held wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:29 am So I'll stop complaining about it now and just enjoy the awesome instruments in MSF. Thanks for your great work![]()

Hehe, as already written by Held, already there: Cinematic blipps. And also there is the Scare pad which is intended to do some cinematic sounding pad stuff. At least one more device is almost done. Not sure, if it will find its way into the next update, though. While I personally really like this one - it will have something to do with scary glissando effects.
