Sorry to keep flooding the forum, but I have another quick thing that I noticed that I want to mention before I forget.

In regards to automation curve options. SCALE and DISPLACE give the range selection priority over the I/O markers as far as what they consider the "Marked Region". But the options for "delete points from the curve" don't even consider the range selection a "Marked Region" at all. It would be great if the range selection got priority for these options as well. I was gonna make this a feature request but I realized that it was probably just overlooked.

Issue: Illegal instruction (core dumped)

Upgraded today from 11.5.2 to 11.5.9 and it no longer opens. Cleared y application .cache and local just so it starts as anew but still same issue.

Looked for the dumped core file but can not locate it.
Yes, at least 2nd gen Core processor is now required (Sandy Bridge)
So no more updates beyond 11.5.2 without buying a new PC? Is that correct?

I haven't seen any mention of this from anyone else. I tried to import some MIDI files into an Edit and it worked without any problem. Maybe if you can be more specific?

What's your OS?

Have you tried MIDI files from more than one source?

How are you adding MIDI files to the Edit? (drag from desktop? drag from Waveform Browser? another method?

What do you mean by nothing? Does the MIDI file not get added to a track? Does it get added to a track with no data? Does it get added to a track with data but doesn't actually send MIDI to a VST instrument?

The best way to show us is to show us - with video. Descriptions using text can be lacking important details even if they include lots of details.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Yeah... I think Tracktion is making the wrong and strange moves. I was almost ready to buy Waveform, but now i'm glad that i didn't. Now i'm looking towards the Reaper DAW. Unfortunately.
I've been using Tracktion since 6 version. And i liked it small size and fast workflow, clean and stable interface. I think they have to test new versions more careful and listen to users.

If you check the other thread discussing this, it looks like they are considering backing off this requirement a bit. They had made the jump in the first place because of compiler optimizations that were not working well under Linux without introducing that requirement, so there may still be some downside to supporting the older chips.

Yes, the requirement on AVX instructions has been reversed. You can grab the build without them here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yfdl059vw297b ... 1.deb?dl=0

That was a mistake on our part, we thought AVX was widely supported by now, didn't realize Intel was still making CPUs without it.

Waveform 11.5.9 crashes when I try to delete chord clip.

Updated Download Manager to 1.0.7... and it's ask for admin password, otherwise - quit. But I want to install everything only in user home dir. And it's absolutely normal for all apps that i have. And now Tracktion Download Manager is useless for me, so the only option is delete it... :( Well Tracktion, you made another wrong step.

Does that mean those of us with AVX no longer get a speedup?

crosslynx wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 3:20 pm I keep having the same UI issues on Windows. Their detachable windows are not automatically resizable. I have to manually drag the corners to fit my screen. The detachable windows also disappear when a VSTi has focus, including the mixer, gone until I close the VSTi GUI. Turning off VST sandboxing causes the VSTi to stay behind all detachable windows, even if selected. Also there's no way to independently hide tracks. Which means I can't hide tracks from the arranger. So if I expand a folder track in the mixer for multiple outputs, it also expands in the arranger, creating useless space I have to scroll through in the arranger. I've been contacting them about this since Tracktion 7, they just shrug it off as if that's a ME problem. As if windows disappearing is not a serious issue.
I'm experiencing the same and it has been driving me nuts, i hope they fix it asap.

EDIT: I've noticed that it behaves like that only when sandboxing is on

The dropbox link does not work. I think that backing this off is the correct move. From a programmatic/development standpoint it is bad to drop support for CPU's with a point release. I would understand to have this requirement introduced with version 12 and properly announced but the way that happened it is bad for business and clients.

Please let us know when we can upgrade or a new link to a proper build?

Much appreciated!
