Hi,

I've been working on this synthesizer on and off for a while now and finally had some time to make a public BETA version for Windows and OSX (intel). The synth was developed to be a reasonably light weight poly synth that is easy to program.

Some of the highlights:
  • Knob-per-function interface, what you see it what you get.
  • 2 oscillators + 1 sub oscillator (tri, saw, pw, sync)
  • Polyphonic stereo unison with optional low CPU unison emulation mode (up to 48 voices)
  • 2 low pass resonant filter types (clean and raw)
  • Filter drive or high pass option
  • Stereo noise generator
  • Ring modulation
  • 2 LFOs with delay function
  • 2 Envelopes
  • Delay effect with normal, ping pong, tape and diffusion delay modes
  • Arpeggiator / 16 step sequencer
  • 4 x oversampled engine
  • Medium and high quality modes
  • 200+ presets
It's available as VST3 plugin for Windows and AudioUnit for OSX (intel).
As long as Invader is in BETA, you can decide your price. Pay what you want! (Starting at €5,-)

I've been using it mostly in Studio One and Reaper so bugs might still be present in other DAW's. Please report any issues you may find.

UPDATE v1.0.1
Fix hanging notes on Reaper

UPDATE v1.0.2
  • Adds UI scaling (70% - 200%)
  • Filter 1 HP and Filter 2 Drive no longer share the same parameter. Presets are updated accordingly.
  • Filter 1: changed the range of the HP filter
  • Preset browser now closes when pressing the preset bar again.
  • Fix: Scroll position of preset browser jumping back when switching between wheel scrolling and using the scrollbar.
  • iPlug2 framework updated to latest version
UPDATE OSX (intel) version
OSX version is now available.

Cheers!

Had a small flashback seeing the forum title there! Used to enjoy Invader 1 or whatever you call it. Thanks much man-

Very nice to see something new from you, guys. XPressor is a very nice track saturator, very usable. Might give this one a try at some point, gotta purchase a couple more things beforehand though. Looks quite nice. :tu:

Yes when I saw the title I expected to see a thread resurrected from a decade ago. Good to see you're still at it.... :tu:

EDIT: Trying the demo and wow I'm impressed. This is a very nice sounding little synth. Loving the Sync and the record feature on the Arp/Seq. Unison is very nice as well as is the Delay unit.

Invader has a very pleasant core sound.

The inevitable feature requests......

A resizable GUI or at least larger Fader Handles and a 16 note Poly option. :)

Oh my god! This Synth sounds fantastic
Warm, lush, awesome bottom end. I love the sequencer and the gui. :tu:
Absolutely lovely.
Will it be scalable someday?

Thanks! :-)

Scaling and 16 note polyphony shouldn't be too hard to do. I've put it on my list!

This certainly has something special in the bass end. Nice GUI makes me think of a Cat.

Upper left pic of gui reads Invaders instead of Invader.
Installed vst3 at G:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Invader.
Studio One 4 does not show it in browser after scanning for new plugins.

'Invaders' is the name of the active preset.

I believe that's just a name of a patch.
