I mean, as long as they don't up and completely disappear, I got the whole bundle super cheap and love the delay. Let me tell you, The Streets Have No Name out here. :D

How do they let us know about updates ? As i've heard nothing from them regarding that maintenance update ?

I'd like them to update their installer programs, something like the Izotope installer would be good.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

We are also working towards implementing some changes re: GUI, but I have no explicit knowledge of anything regarding a timeline (or even what they might be planning) - we'll make sure and email our users as soon as we implement any updates.
2 years ago they have been "working" on this :)

Right... if you totally forget that they permanently have to pay their employees, pay for advertising, for download servers, their website, their office, and what not.
Yes, I know - I was being facetious :)

And I can continue being facetious by saying.... "Yeah - paying employees? Employees who don't even implement basic improvements like GUI scaling in their plugins over several decades?" :D

I think SoundToys are a small team and try to fit their plugins in spaces in the market that other plugins don’t cover. A tough challenge but I’m hoping that’s the reason for the lack of new products!

Some Soundtoys stuff on sale at Plugin Boutique this week ... up to 78% off

Thought it was the Effect Rack? Was that 2019 or 2020. Time flies, and I forget!

Soundtoys has good, tried-and-true products, and I think that's what they're resting on. They actually have phone support, which is odd. In order to get a demo working again during one of their holiday sales a few years back, I called them and actually talked to a live person to get it going again! Crazy!

I just received an email from Soundtoys "Get Ready to Upgrade" apparently they are going to have a 50% upgrade sale in mid August lasting 4 weeks and they are upgrading their account systems. I think this gonna be it..! Soundtoys 6 might be coming...?

If their existing stuff is selling well, there's not a ton of incentive to come out with new stuff just for the sake of coming out with new stuff (which I have always hated...I'm looking at you POS Microsoft, among others but leading the charge).

But there are many valid reasons for coming up with new versions. First off, there’s noticeable aliasing on things like Decapitator. It was fine in its day, but you no longer can get away with that in 2022. Second, the UIs could definitely need a clean up and become scalable. Throw in a few new algorithms for fun, and I’ll pay for an upgrade.

Unless you bought second hand, support have just confirmed that they no longer support second hand sales (Even though it is ilok) and anybody who bought second hand will not get any upgrade pricing at all, you will have to buy the next version at full price.
Absolute scumbaggery at its worst.

What do you think, how strong are sales amongst those of us who already own the full V5? :dog:

How is that 'scumbaggery'? Many companies do not allow transfer of warranty or support on their products. What makes Soundtoys so different that THEY'RE the scumbags when they're following what seems to be a normal industry practice? You call my work with a monitor or projector you bought from someone on Craigslist or Ebay, sorry no warranty for you. How is the company supposed to survive if their customers sell off their bundle when they move on to the latest 'flavor of the week' and instead of buying new licenses people just keep recycling second hand ones?

Anyways here's to hoping the VST3s are ready! They were supposed to do a public beta test for them but sounds like they might be wrapped up and ready to go already.

Reading all this, I am glad I sold my bundle years ago. This hot mess is not for me this time.

I think one of the problems is that all of this happened very hush-hush.
