The preset bar is getting ready. Fixing some small issues before publishing the 2.4 nightly build

Seems a bit out of place at the bottom IMO, the standard seems up top. I'd suggest a move. Might be a good idea to also add buttons/locations for "Save Preset" (definitely that one at the minimum) but maybe some of the common menu type items that users may commonly want to quickly access.discoDSP wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 6:09 pm The preset bar is getting ready. +1 more - there's plenty of room for buttons, since you have the whole "row"e-musician wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 6:37 pm+1Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 6:26 pm Seems a bit out of place at the bottom IMO, the standard seems up top. It should really be a part of the skin, not tacked-on like this IMO.

What's new
- Preset browser (switchable using MENU button).
Opening plugin gets a screen "canot access themes". Clicking on the menu icon crashes reaper even when running in dedicated process.

I just downloaded the nightly build file 2.4 and placed in VST folder, same as all other disco dsp files
It's probably user error!
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Nightly builds won’t work without the assets.
Install OB-Xd from https://www.discodsp.com/obxd/ first.

Ok. I have strategies for that, so that it doesn't happen. You have an unnecessary complication behind a kind of peculiar belief, but your call. I'd recommend backing up some kind of way, that's harsh.maxym.srpl wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 7:01 am it has nothing to do with mechanical vs ssd hard disk. It's about risk of lost your plugins /presets in case of need of reinstalling operation system from scratch.
I don't have a confusion as to where things are, and my user data is not mixing in with factory defaults, let alone system files or anything like that.

Yes, nightly builds give early access to features under development before final release for testing and feedback purposes and are provided in a “raw” way.
