It would be really useful to be able to stack overlapping clips vertically within the same track.
Selecting and moving overlapping clips would be much easier if there was an option to stack the clips vertically in the track.

I think you're suggesting vertically like subtracks within a given track? I could definitely see that...maybe not even as a default, but like a switchable option, so you could go between the two. You can already do this with comp clips, but not with ordinary clips that happen to be stacked. I think a similar option could be a big improvement.
