They have no love for the owners of "legacy" products LOL. The Tassman upgrade should be cheaper. I want to demo it to compare. Bit I don't really need more distraction.

For me the upgrade from Tassman was the same as the pro bundle upgrade, just with less value.ghettosynth wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 2:24 amThey have no love for the owners of "legacy" products LOL. You realize that’s for all of their product line, right?
The new modular is $79.

That just means that you must have given them money for new stuff at some point. I'm a cheapass who only has freebies, and some "legacy products."pekbro wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 4:38 amFor me the upgrade from Tassman was the same as the pro bundle upgrade, just with less value.ghettosynth wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 2:24 amThey have no love for the owners of "legacy" products LOL. I understand, I am one of those who began his long journey with AAS on a crazy deal at Audiomidi.ghettosynth wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 7:15 amThat just means that you must have given them money for new stuff at some point. Was that the VA-1 no brainer? That's what I started with. I jokingly tried to sell it on here at some point. I never bothered to upgrade it along the way. Nobody wanted it for anything much more than the no-brainer price. I haven't reinstalled it in years TBH.pekbro wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 7:59 amI understand, I am one of those who began his long journey with AAS on a crazy deal at Audiomidi.ghettosynth wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 7:15 amThat just means that you must have given them money for new stuff at some point. From my point of view AAS Modules is better sounding than VM Core Modules. So for the price it is a nice addition to Softube Modular and Reaktor.

I missed the VA-1 deal actually, the String Studio VS-1 no brainer came a bit afterwards. Whichghettosynth wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 8:05 amWas that the VA-1 no brainer? That's what I started with. was fortunate as I used that way more than I would have used the VA-1. I think I paid $99 for
Tassman sometime after that and then bought Chromaphone. That's 3, once you have 3 you
might as well upgrade to the bundle when they offer decent deals like they do here, on occasion.

Have key developers left AAS or something? It seems their catalogue the past couple of years has been them stripping out components from Tassman and making macro plugins out of them, or making slightly superficial updated for their older shit. Eh, whatever..i still get a lot of use out of Tassman so can't really complain. This doesn't sound particularly attention grabbing either

Couple of years? I think that several people commented in this thread. I believe that the developer for whom Tassman is named left two decades ago. They have a comment on their website that says something to the effect of "we're adjusting our internal processes to work more quickly and efficiently."TIMT wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 8:38 am Have key developers left AAS or something? Have they made any announcement as to the plans for this?- is it going to be an ecosystem (sell modules for it) or just free updates to add more modules or maybe 'that's it', it s complete, no more modules. I would definitely need to know this before buying!
Currently its a very basic VA based modular but If they put in the modules from string studio and Chromophone the more PM slant to a modular may be interesting and different enough to stand out...the basic format could be the new Tassman if they get the right modules in...

Imo, Multiphonics actually sounds very good, but you have to fart around with it for a while to get a feel for it's range. The physical modeling filter thing is really pretty cool but works weirdly. In the end, the small cpu tax is what it's really all about I think.
