I want to change the default (init) template. But somehow don't seem to be able to change it. I followed the steps in the manual "Make sure that the preference Save Presets To is set to ‘selected folder’ and that the ‘Local’ root directory is currently open. Finally, [Save] your preset under the name default." I checked finder and there is a "default.h2p" in ../Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Hive/default.h2p which afaik is the root. But when I select "init" I still get the original template.

Yes that's correct, you can't change the init, you can only change the default startup presets that the synth opens with when loading a new instance. The init and the default startup preset, those are two different things.
