Any alternatives to Spectrasonics Stylus RMX in terms of sound library? Not looking for a software/engine, but similar sounding drum loops/grooves.

Not nearly as regularly. I remember lots of people getting vouchers in the beginning of the year, but I didn't get one then. I think it's been a long time since I got last one before the one this month. Maybe I had 3 in total...AcrossTheSky wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 7:35 am Do kilohearts send vouchers regularly like PA? ...I did get it once in the past...n later no more...hmmm

That's how I did it.GaryG wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 5:53 amThey just email you a redemption/serial code that you then add to your izotope account. A junk account would work fine if you had any concerns, no creating accounts or validation etc.SHall1000 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:52 pm Nectar Elements free if you don’t mind giving your email to an unknown Japanese site.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't understand a word on that site, but, whatever.

I've only received vouchers a few times too. This last time in the email that contained the voucher, it mentioned it was because of my recent purchase. Based on that, I would expect the ones that were sent out in April were sent to those that had purchased something recently.gondii wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 8:39 amNot nearly as regularly. I think the last time i purchased something was the upgrade to ultimate about a year ago. But my email still reads “thank you for your recent purchase”. I really don’t know what their system is or if there is one.SolarAxix wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 12:36 am I've only received vouchers a few times too. To answer my own question, Zero-G Total REX, World Pack and Pro Pack for Garageband have similar sounding grooves and I already own these, so probably good to skip Stylus RMX Expanded even though it is a great software with an excellent (but dated) library.LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 5:42 am Any alternatives to Spectrasonics Stylus RMX in terms of sound library? I have World pack - never really considered it similar to RMX. If you actually like the loops of RMX, I think it's a great choice. I personally think it's awfully dated by now. The only things I use from it are shakers, rides and the occasional bongo/congas groove.LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 7:55 amTo answer my own question, Zero-G Total REX, World Pack and Pro Pack for Garageband have similar sounding grooves and I already own these, so probably good to skip Stylus RMX Expanded even though it is a great software with an excellent (but dated) library.LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 5:42 am Any alternatives to Spectrasonics Stylus RMX in terms of sound library? For a variety of rhythms I'd recommend XLN XO. It's super easy to change kits on the fly, and there's a tons of more sound design options than RMX has, but it doesn't have hundreds of crunchy Amen like loops that RMX does. So if that's what you're looking for, RMX is a great choice.

Yeah, I meant those packs are a little similar to the type of grooves in Stylus RMX. Total REX is probably the closest between the 3 packs I mentioned.Armadillo wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 8:35 amI have World pack - never really considered it similar to RMX. Yes, I do love the sound of loops/breakbeats included with Stylus RMX. Considering it is almost 20 years old, it is indeed quite dated, which is my main concern along with non-scalable GUI. Guess it might not be comfortable on a 2K screen and I will be wanting to enlarge the GUI.
I do have XO by the way. It is surely great for creating custom kits and the sample browsing capability (Space) is second to none.
The included 5 Expanders with Stylus RMX make it a bit more tempting, but $400 is way too much. I wish it was cheaper. Can't have enough drum samples/loops!

Considering SloMo for $9.99 https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/slowmo/
Perhaps Roommate Reverb for $11.99 https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/soft ... ng-plugin/
Looked at Vocalizer Pro for $15 but will likely not get as it will not work in Studio One.

How to get the free Kilohearts Carve Eq from the Computer Music issue? I cannot seem to find it.

Check the index of the magazine or register the issue at File Silo to get the details. I've also read on the forum that the File Silo website is not loading for some.
