Anyone know where I can find detailed documentation for it? Like they had in the past on their website? Like the one Moss publishes for his extensions? I hesitated getting M+ in the past because I was told it doesn't interface with Bitwig, but this changes everything!!!
Bitwig's own Maschine Plus/Mk3 script vs. Moss'

Ok, I found it - once I select M+/Mk3 as a controller, I can open it from there. It looks quite deep & comprehensive and the video announcement text suggests they're using M+/Mk3 displays too, although that's not really mentioned in documentation...

Yeah, but you can't see s**t in that video. Is browser the only thing it displays? How about launching clips - do the pads even light up with appropriate colours? How piano roll looks like, etc.pdxindy wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 2:33 pmAccording to the video, the Bitwig browser shows on the screensantic604 wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 2:28 pm Ok, I found it - once I select M+/Mk3 as a controller, I can open it from there. We need a proper walk-through

Well, Maschine works in MIDI mode, so it is not able to draw something on the screen. Browser shows only one item at a time, in MIDI mode you can't print something like a listing. It only prints a text where NI placed placeholder for it, rendering more than 50% of the screen useless. Colors on the pads are the same as clips in Bitwig.

Thanks for this!! Assuming you have M+ or Mk3, have you compared Bitwig's extension with Moss' one? Or are they basically the same thing?Vee Nee wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 3:04 pm Well, Maschine works in MIDI mode, so it is not able to draw something on the screen. I have a mk3, just bought it yesterday to test the integration. I never previously used anything with Bitwig, except a MIDI keyboard (and i'am new to Bitwig). Moss integration is the next thing i'm going to check!

Nice! I'd love to hear more once you test them bothVee Nee wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 3:31 pm I have a mk3, just bought it yesterday to test the integration. Likewise keen to understand the extent and depth of the integration.

Choose it as a controller in Bitwig and read the documentation - it appears to be pretty comprehensive, similar to Moss' script for Push2: playing notes, recording & launching clips, browsing of devices & presets, mixer & device control.perpetual3 wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 3:56 pm Likewise keen to understand the extent and depth of the integration.

Maschine+ makes for a very expensive Bitwig controller, but the Machine Micro MK3 is very good value and works great. Unless the display on the screens is very well done, then a full size MK3 may be worthwhile...but I would have to see it to believe. If the screens were properly utilised I think the Komplete Kontrol Keyboard would get my attention, but you cant see anything on that video either, so all in all pretty useless videos and no update

Any way to read it without having the controller to get to the documentation?antic604 wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 4:16 pmChoose it as a controller in Bitwig and read the documentation - it appears to be pretty comprehensive, similar to Moss' script for Push2: playing notes, recording & launching clips, browsing of devices & presets, mixer & device control.perpetual3 wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 3:56 pm Likewise keen to understand the extent and depth of the integration.

Yes. Just add the controler. I don't have Mk3/M+ and could add the script & read the doc. They're probably buried somewhere in Bitwig's folders, too.pdxindy wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 4:26 pmAny way to read it without having the controller to get to the documentation?

Some clarifications and info:
- The new Bitwig NI extensions are not related to my DrivenByMoss extension.
- You might wonder why Bitwig did this. The reason is simple: many users expect that their controllers work out of the box. Therefore, Bitwig provides now some basic support to keep you going. If you want the good stuff you can get DrivenByMoss later

- The features are rather basic compared to what is already possible with DrivenByMoss and the Maschine Mk3.
- Someone got the M+ working with DrivenByMoss, so there is hope that I can support it "officially" soon (still don't have a M+).
- The good thing about this is that I now know how to make the Shift button work
