Hi

I bought BioTek 2 and the Raw Dubstep expansion today and was eager to try them out. In Tracktion Download Manager, BioTek2, BioTek2 Content, and Raw Dubstep Expansion Pack (for BioTek2) all show as being installed. I was expecting Raw Dubstep to show up in the preset browser within BioTek, but the only entry in the Pack category is [empty].

Does anyone know if the Raw Dubstep presets are included within all the other presets in the browser, or are there some additional installation steps that I need to do?

Thanks

You need to have the latest BioTek 2 installed. After downloading with download manager, BioTek 2 will move the presets into the correct location.

I updated my Tracktion Download Manager (windows app) to the latest version, uninstalled BioTek 2 and reinstalled from the download manager. I then played about with BioTek a bit more, and found that the only two folders that had paths in the config section were Preset Instruments, and Preset Samples. I filled in paths for the other settings, and then clicked on Check for Updates.

Interestingly, this contacts the Marketplace, but only shows Tracktion BioTek 2 (2.1.12) and Tracktion BioTek2 Content (v7.0.0) (and no expansion packs); the Download Manager (windows app) shows these, as well as Raw Dubstep Expansion Pack (supposedly installed). Could this be the reason it's missing?

Sorry for the dumb question, but is there some config setting I need to set, or do I need to contact Tracktion support?

I can confirm it doesn't work on Linux. After installing in download manager I had to unzip

Code: Select all

Miclop - Raw Dubstep
from this file

Code: Select all

~/.config/Tracktion/Content/BioTek%202_miclop_raw_dubstep_v1.content
to

Code: Select all

~/Tracktion/BioTek/Instruments
On windows you can find content zip in

Code: Select all

AppData\Roaming\Tracktion\Content\
and extract it in BioTek instruments folder, I guess it's in

Code: Select all

c:\ProgramData\Tracktion

That works - thanks!
