yup :tu:
got mimeophone from them actually :)
The handwritten note is definitely a nice touch! I've been enjoying the same thing from 3DWaves (for their 3D printed stands).

There are some weird ones out there, so I thought it was worth asking before buying.

Oh and Data Bender is here!

yeah i get a bit worried if ive not heard of them before, not like it's a small amount to never see again.

but everything went as planned for me, next day delivery, no issues whatsoever. so can't complain at all

obviously that's not an option for you  but im sure it will be as quick as transport allows :tu:

Speaking of being burdened with memorizing multitudinous button-combo's and hidden menu's...

I had struggled with ^ that ^ factor with the original Clouds (until they went out of production), and then the myriad clones and derivatives, while anticipating 'Clouds 2.0', which years later now, is 'Beads', and which has literally zero appeal to me.

Fortuitously, a killer deal presented itself for what I have really wanted, and for considerably less than Beads costs. I am now officially ~ OneKnobPerFunctionified. 8)

It'd be funny if that was the very same unit I once had. :D I bought mine from Lightbath and sold it to... I don't remember who. The price is probably easier to swallow now that it's got Beads for competition!

The knobs on it are great for standard Clouds mode. I still found it a little confusing to try all the other firmware versions, but I kind of felt like it was better to stay in Clouds mode and really get to know its possibilities well anyway.

That would be. :) I got it from Midwest Modular. And, absolutely. :tu:

Good to know, thanks. I suspect I am going to agree with that. The only thing I recall being impressed by with the Parasites firmware was the 'Oliverb' setting. I have only heard demo's of the 'beat-repeat' and 'spectral smear'(?) used in ways I considered discordant and at best, meh, and that did not appeal to me at all. Could be the material used, or the settings, and that the users (in every example) were not experienced with the potential outcome, so we'll soon see.

I should get it by Thursday/Friday, and am anxious to know what firmware is on it, and unless I can finesse something more desirable out of those options (if present), I'll likely return it to the stock firmware, just to avoid any button pushing confusion.

I stupidly bought an app for button combos without realizing it wasn't user-definable. One of those Morphagene videos suggested "Modes" and I blindly bought it (because all the best decisions are made when it's 2 AM).

I'm still hoping an app like that could be created to use not just with eurorack modules but guitar pedals and synths too.

my euro setup kinda looks like this and kinda doesn’t.

 Nice rack!
Thanks! here’s the last photo of the real deal. The nerdseq has since departed, My brain really couldn’t cope with that tracker business:
https://ibb.co/nCpTQsb
Yeah, I could never do the tracker stuff. There's a gorgeous (IMO) desktop Polyend Tracker that makes me wish I had the patience for it, but I know I never will.

Do you use the rack like that, or does it prop up? Sorry, it's the distant sports injuries that make my back hurt seeing it lay flat.
It's bolted to a tilting drafting table. it was set at about thirty degrees in that photo. 45 degrees is well within it's operational scope, but I'd be a bit nervous about 60 :-)
My spine was severely compromised in an auto accident, there's a fair bit of titanium in my Lumbar and Cervical spine. I've also had thoughts about the Polyend tracker but it'll remain a no go zone unfortunately..
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.
