Win, OSX? Does the plugin work?
Win 10. No plugins don't work either.

I am running the License Manager. I am logged in to the inMusic website. BFD3 still locks me out. (Windows 10) Both the standalone and the plugin refuse to believe I am logged in.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Try closing License Manager before you try a reinstall of 3.4.1. This should update the License Manager to 3.0.1.3. Open it up and try BFD3 again. It worked for me (I'm on Win 10).

well i installed the update and now the 'locations' shows BFD3 Core Library needing "License" and when i click the 'license' button it opens license manager and EVERYTHING is up to date. under "BFD3" it lists three now

software installer 3.4.1
software installer 3.4.0
content installer 3.4.1

ALL up to date and if i try to remove the '3.4.0' it wants to uninstall ALL BFD3 and it's components? and if i hit the 'content installer' it wants to download 67Gb of content?

this is getting worse by the minute folks and i reckon now that i have migrated my account over to inmusic i no longer have access to old installers. investing in fxpansion was my biggest mistake since going ITB... although it was a pain with them since roli and inmusic got involved it is now a cluster f*ck. i am NOT about to download all my content again when i have it all on my sample lib drive already. if the new license manager can see and authorize then why in the hell is it not translating over to the bloody software?

personally i tend to think no one... even fxpansion... didn't have a grasp on upgrading from BFD2 to BFD3 because it seems components are all over the place and under BFD2 folders. some expansions i bought for BFD3 are in outside folders while others are under a BFD3 Expansions folder. ALL my problems began after upgrading from 2 to 3... and now ALL THIS!!!

oh and i mite add that since the software 'locations' scanner has BFD3 core library greyed out and needing "License" none of my kits will load up. they ALL show the little yellow 'caution' signs

SO NOT HAPPY

Yeah, this seems to be the ticket. Download the BFD3 3.4.1 update. CLOSE THE LICENSE MANAGER. Run the BFD 3.4.1 installer.

It doesn't tell you that it's upgrading the License Manager, but if it stays open it doesn't get updated to 3.0.1.3 and if it gets closed, it gets updated. Then stuff works. I find I'm much happier and relaxed when stuff works.

Still a bit confused about the whole License Manager process. It doesn't update itself. It doesn't say there is an updated version. It doesn't tell you how to get updates. And the download page on the bfddrums website doesn't download the latest version.

Amberience wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 9:32 pm Hey all,
I'm sure there will be an official communication at some point, but a few bulletpoints:
  • We've hit some technical snags on getting everyone the Eldorado and London Sessions packs. But it will definitely happen. We're also going to make it so that migrations moving forward will get those packs automatically - watch this space.
  • Same as above, but with the Zildjian Digital Vaults. Vol 1 pack to replace the SP1/SP2/ZP1 packs.
  • There is a BFD 3.4.1.x build in progress that will address:
    • Sluggishness on start-up.
    • Expansion packs not being available when offline
    • License Manager failing to connect to the internet sometimes
    • Migration of user-files being broken, not copying all files, and being executed even on clean systems without prior installations.
Just wanted to give everyone an update.
What about BFD3.dll which is in my vst folder but any of my DAW can't scan it, so there is no BFD3 plugin in fx browser? And when I launch standalone version it just crashes.

Heya,
Could you give me more details please? Which DAWs are you using? What is your setup? Do you still have the FXpansion version of BFD3.dll kicking around? If so, try removing that and making sure you only have the new 3.4 version installed. Have you tried clearing your DAW blacklist? Sometimes that can help.

If you can give me more info, I can diagnose a bit more thoroughly. Cheers!
Windows 10 version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.928)

Fxpansion version of BFD3 and old dll files were deleted and Installed a new update.

Cockos Reaper 6.28 (tested in regular and portable installations), Bitwig Studio 3.3.7 and Ableton Live 10.

Vst in Reaper is in "plugins that failed to scan" menu, Bitwig can't see it too.

It worked only in Ableton Live, but my main DAW with all the projects BFD3 was used in is Reaper.

I don't have any plugins blacklisted in my DAW.

You gotta be kidding me... Here I'm trying to install it on another computer

So now I'm stuck with a project for a client because I can't use my drum sound made in BFD.

And I can't install previous version V. 3.3.1.33 from Fxpansion website because all the download links are NOT WORKING.

wtf!?

Doesn't help in my case.

Reaper is one of our primary test hosts. Something is wrong there. Try closing all BFD related apps, and DAW's, and reinstalling 3.4.1.11 from afresh. It will upgrade License Manager and BFD3. Make sure you 100% select the correct VSTplugin directory on install.

Then Reaper should scan the plugin.

I tried everything I can think of.

How to make it work? I have license manager opened and I'm logged in.
