Big commersial songs/producers using factory presets?

Btw I highly doubt this thing can produce serious round robins, velocity layers and release pedal like a real piano, but since I forgot to mention ”you can’t sample your favourite piano” (because eh, some people enjoy using sounds they strongly dislike), no problem, try to prove me wrong just for fun.

real piano doesn't have round robins and velocity layers.
that's why Pianoteq -plays- way more like a real piano than any sampled piano does. It feels better.

im checking out again. i can only fight the insanity for so long. i am deleting every preset and sequence on my hard drive, and turning off the internet (something i've been meaning to do anyway). you own NOTHING of me. you guys have fun convincing each other you are superstars.

When musicians and producers made tracks years ago they grabbed an instrument and started making music. Who cares if people are using presets, that is actually what they are designed for. To be used!

i, for one i'm reluctant tu use presets that i couldn't at the least reshape myself, a way to personalized my production,
...but they are rare exceptions like the famous "glorious guitar" from Omnisphere's factory library

Presets are for people who dont want to spend their time making presets.

Effects are for people who want to disguise the fact that they're using presets.

I don't think it matters at all if someone uses a preset. But. If you do use a very obvious, recognisable preset - especially if it has a melody - then you'd better make a really awesome track out of it. And I think you'd have no right to complain about someone else that used that exact same sound.

Even if you create an awesome new sound and use it on a successful track, people are going to copy it. Then it's going to become a preset. There are million of examples : "popular sounds for Sylenth, for Spire, for whocareswhatthissynthiscalledlike...". So your non-preset will become a preset.
You made it first ? Great ! You are a sound maker. People will remember you for sure.
