I have seen it here and then on knobcloud or ebay for less, I got it for 49. And do not forget PA prices are plus VAT! I do not buy from devs any more, I got 2 Vallhala plugins for 25 usd, Fabfilter proQ for 65... on knobcloud

I re-sold 9000 j, because first I liked the low end, but on my next projects too muddy and boomy low end. It's said to be good for Hip Hop, well, I am not into hip hop

Maybe E or G, but the J series I haven't seen it under $99.99 and it was never added to promotion with monthly voucher, but maybe I am mistaken. I haven't watched it every day.

Knobloud is a platform similar to eBay, but on Knobcloud plugins only are resold!
I do not buy from devs any more!
I have just checked Knobcloud and some pa plugins are for 10 usd only!!!
Just be patient and wait for good offers to come

Well from what I see SSL 9000 J, the cheapest there is $65 transfer not included, so at the end is $85.

Don't you all know how to buy pa plugins??? Maybe someone wants to sell it for price x, but tomorrow someone might sell it for y!!!
And of course you do not buy one pa plugin only and immediately activate it, then you would have to pay 20 for one. But if you buy some more, license fee goes down to 8 usd!
A while ago I bought some pa and then the next one two weeks later and one more one week later and the fee wasn't that much any more. Even if you bought something for 15 and paid transfer fee of 20 usd immediately, it's still way cheaper than you could ever get from pa. I bought elysia master comp for usd 20 only! And if I wanted to buy 9000 j I would just wait and check ebay and knobcloud. But do whatever you want, give your money to pa, if you are in love with them haha

Where else could you get a Valhalla plugin for 25 only? Valhalla has never sales!
Best selling platform is without any doubt knobcloud, I use it for about 9 months and payed way less I would pay on sales snd also re sold a lot. Sometimes on ebay, too

And you do not seem to understand that when you buy from pa you have to pay vat in addition. I would have to pay 94.80 USD!
So many ways to pay less, to a trustworthy seller with good ratings you could transfer the amount", to a friend ", that way seller need not pay paypal fee

And if you are clever make an offer to seller and suggest 50, maybe you will succeed. Try making this suggestion to pa and see what will happen haha

There is no plugin I would pay more than 40 usd any more l, if I was still up for some plugins.
Bettermaker is pretty good price, though, imo

Yeah, I'm of the same opinion. Essentially channel strips as constituted come from a series of compromises between electronics at the time vs the minimum amount (because of space and budget constraints) of processing and effects needed for tracking audio.

Firstly when most people use them in DAWs they are using it for colour anyway, secondly there's no reason why the mix of controls presented and information displayed was 'optimal' in some way (apart from the above), and knobs are a pretty abysmal UI choice for adjusting on screen.

Like I use a couple of the elysia plugins -- but I'd much prefer them to have even a valhalla like interface than the knobs they have (made worse because they are slightly off centre, and they are hard to adjust for an exact setting that lies in the 'shadow' of the knob).

Yes, they have this summer sale going on.... but the bx_townhouse is often on sale (just like most PA plugins). With the SSL 9000 J, I'm not sure if it's ever been this cheap before.
I like "The Glue" more and the few plugins I'm interested in I already have. That's why the constant PA sales might not be so interesting for everyone at some point.

What are your "must-have" Plugin Alliance plugins now that they are $29 ?
