Probably not. Most of the time you want dynamics - was it hit hard or softly? If you set it at 100% no matter how hard the note was hit, then all notes (or drum pads) sound the same.

I think you have that backwards. It sets the sensitivity to velocity, so 100% means it's totally sensitive to velocity. At 0% it's not sensitive to velocity and 1 to 127 all sound the same. 0 velocity is silent no matter what.Peter Widdicombe wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 4:45 pm Probably not. To emulate certain old drum machines, which didn't have dynamics. Also, some samples might not sound great with full dynamic range and you can either turn it off or at least tame the variation.burn wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 3:24 pm I just can't understand why there is a need for that knob at all.
